  1. You guys amaze me. When Huff is playing great he is a god, when he ha a bad game you guys flush him. Seriously, last year if it wasn't for the kid, Sioux would have not been as successful as the were. Huff has a chance to be best player to ever play at UND. Does the kid need to play with a better attitude yes. But let's not forget the accolades the kid had. He is UND basketball. I've been a fan/alum for 8 years and I've never seen such a player. For sioux2013 you've been on this kid with the negative bull since the arrived on campus and didn't even pick up a ball yet. Get a life! Everyone made mistakes at the one a game that I attended (Idaho St.). I can break down. Because for you guys to say that we don't need Huff, we can find someone else, we don't need him...You guys are flat out idiots and don't know basketball. If Huff were to transfer or something like that, the SIOUX could'nt replace him with Gentry, Antwi, Shuler or any other player on the roster. And everyone on this forum knows that! -Brekke: Soft, needs to rebound more, needs to finish around the rim more -Mitchell: Need to take more shots, needs the ball more, needs to rebound more -Anderson: Takes bad shots. -Webb: Needs to be more vocal, needs to get Mitchell and Huff the ball more. -Huff: Needs to play better defense, needs to stop pouting when Webb ice's him out of the game. -Shuler: plays too many minutes, needs to stay in fornt of defenders. -Allard: Needs to produce more, needs to shoot more.
  2. According bleacherreport.com, Huff predicted to be pre season player of the year in the Great West. The site broke down all Division 1 conferences and who they thought would be the poy in each respected conference. Congrats to Huff for being considered.
  3. Yeah this is true. Players usually dont transfer unless its a major issue such as playing time or coaching issues. What about with Goodman coming back, I wonder if that's a factor at all? Which im sure Goodman excepts the fact that he won't be a starter next year, and maybe next year's "Chris Clausen"
  4. Not sure if anyone has any word on huff's status? I know awhile back someone made a statement on his post referring to Huff possibly transferring. With Coach Moody leaving could be significant in Huff's departure. We can't afford for any of our freshmen to leave in regards to Anderson and Webb as well; but even more so not Huff. I think his talent level is thru the roof to hold his own somewhere else...but i think his individual and team success would keep him a fighting sioux. Any thoughts?
  5. Sioux 2013......changed your mind about Huff huh? That kid destroyed Waldorf. The freshmen really impressed me! Looking forward to the next home game already! GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!
  6. Judging from your comment, one would think you were one of the players on the team, who cant stand to see a freshman play well. I mean come on guys, we have a great freshmen class, if those guys can play, you can't take that away from them. This is what we need....SOMEONE TO PUT THE BALL IN BASKET. something we lacked in recent years. I believe we were one of the lowest total point teams in Division 1 basketball last year. Hopefully next year's class can come in and help us as well. This is Division 1 basketball, not some small town high school out in the middle of North Dakota. Hate to see how this year will go with negative publicity for young good players! Go Sioux.
  7. Yeah I think your prediction is pretty much what it will look it. Since we'll be a veteran team by year 1. Not to mention the young class we have.
  8. How long do you think it will take for UND to be successful in the Big Sky?
  9. Yes they are both redshirt freshmen
  10. Judging from last year's team and the newcomers: PG: Anderson (fr) SG: Haugen (so) SF: Huff (fr) PF: Mitchell (Jr) C: Benter (Sr)
  11. I have a very close source to someone that was there at the SDSU scrimmage....and I was told that the score wasn't being taken, BUT, if it was, UND got the best of them....I was also told that true freshman guard Troy Huff led all scorers with 18 points...wow! we may have a complete STUD on our hands as a true freshmam....Hopefully a kid like this won't transfer to a "bigger school"....it happens quite a bit...example: Look at Seth Curry, Stephan Curry's brother, who left Liberty for Duke!
