  1. I thought we played some good hockey in St Cloud. Remember, we lost that game without the Oshie, who was serving his penance for pi$$ing. Losing Trupper and viva le revolucion hurts us tremendously. Chay is key to our title run, and trupper is probably the most skilled third line player in the country IMHO. Contrary to what fat boy says, we are beating teams with depth rather than with our top line. If sconny gets ousted, it boads well, and will probably result in us playing in MadTown's regional. It will be a tough weekend against SCSU. Their top line is as good as any, and they will kill us if we get into penalty trouble. They also have a ton on the line. Gotta love this time o year! GO SIOUX!!!
  2. Both variations in ice size cause you to make adjustments. The shorter length hurts a team like the Sioux, because we like to attack the offensive zone with speed. Timing is huge for making plays offensively, and the timing is all fouled up.
  3. MTU is 26th in RPI. A win tonight vs Denver makes them at least 25th. This adds 3-1-0 to our TUC
  4. Forgot about Dunc' pair vs BSU. All in all this year it seems like he's probably had a dozen pipes or miracle saves. Everyone gets a few, but it seems Duncs is getting everyone's share. Next open net, Hak has to put Jones out there. It should be Oshie's mission to get Jonesey an empty net goal.
  5. Trupp is a great later line weapon. He is one of those energy guys who just make things happen. It really hurts our depth to take him out of the lineup Let's all wish him a speedy recovery. Let's also hope this is our only bite from the injury bug from here on out.
  6. Trupp's a tough kid. I bet he's back for the Regionals...that's 4 weeks. Good win for a game where we had zero puck luck, tUMD was playing really fired up, and we lost the anchor of our third line. Geez is Duncs snake bit right now or what??? I'd like to see him finally get rewarded in oh, i don't know the Frozen Four!!!
  7. Tech has fallen off being a TUC, and Northeastern is also fading fast. Those things hurt us...but its true, all we can do is take care of ourselves. We are all but secured a place in the dance right now. We just have to figure out if we're going with the prom queen or with our sister
  8. You got it!
  9. Too bad its not St. Patty's this year! I don't have a wig or anything like that, but I will be sporting a jersey. I've been to a couple Mardi Gras in the Big Easy, and while I agree that the F5 is a blast, it isn't quite Mardi Gras Runnin' with, tUMD is my second fav team, sorry to knock you out of the NCAA picture this weekend
  10. See you in St Paul!
  11. Sioux-CIA, you won't believe this...I've got 119 row 21, seats 9 and 10!!! That's a nice, green row! I'll buy you a beer!
  12. The other issue is that Merrimack might be a COP for a different team in Hockey East that could take NH's PWR. You can be ahead of a team in the PWR, even if you lose the individual PWR to them!
  13. The hotels east of the MOA on 494 aren't really that far from the X either. Some might even have shuttle service!
  14. SIoux-CIA, I'll look for you and your entourage. I'm glad to be near SIoux fans! I think we are right by you. GO SIOUX !
  15. I'll be there in 119! Looking for a Sioux win
  16. I respect the Wooger's opinions on college hockey. Frank, well, he is what he is... Why are we even talking about this clash of the #8 team vs the #10 team in the league?? We should be focusing on going 15 unbeaten and riding a Sioux sweep back into the stad!
  17. I think the major junior route vs NCAA hockey is really a family decision. The Toews family is really high on education. The CHL does still offer more games and a schedule that more closely resembles the NHL. It would be a tough decision to go #1 in a bantam draft and choose college hockey, but I have to believe that there are other perks to being an 18 year old on a college campus. The clear success of Toews, Parise, Vanek, Stastny, etc certainly helps our cause.
  18. Hey AZ, Who the heck is nuber 13 in your gallery? I'm assuming the 24 is from last year and is Porter...
  19. INCH 4x4 is a projection. They do not look at it as if it were to end today, but look at it as a whole and try and project what will happen. Bracketology is set up as if the season ended today. I would guess that INCH is looking at the schedule of MN and thinking that they have a legit shot at grabbing a couple wins vs COP and TUCs (especailly vs UMD). They will also get a shot at a WCHA bubble team in the playoffs. MN can take a lot of pwrs against the likes of WI, UMD, SCSU as we finish out the season. A strong finish will catapult them over UMD and WI.
  20. Don't you love how in this week's bracketology all the MN schools are in with the exception of the Golden Gophers!
  21. Michigan came out like gangbusters, eh? Sounds like our regional quarterfinal last year. Red's teams always have skill, and they always play good, open, up tempo hockey as compared to say...Wisconsin. While I don't think Miami's record shows that they've really beaten anyone other than Michigan State, I don't think that they are a bad team. However, given the structure of the NCAA tournament, I would certainly rather play Miami than a lot of other teams to go to the FF.
  22. Miami has not beaten anyone...only winning record against a tier 1 team is against Michigan State. They also beat SCSU in OT. Split with Notre Dame, Lost and tied vs MI. They have only played 9 games against TUCs: 2-0 vs MI State 0-1-1 vs MI 1-1-0 vs Notre Dame 1-0-0 vs SCSU 2-0-0 vs Vermont
  23. Check out Krach...WCHA has 6 of the top 10, and 9 of the 10 WCHA teams are in the top 17. I think there is little doubt that outside of NH, BC, MI and MI State, everyone else with a snowball's chance of winning the NCAAs is in the WCHA.
  24. You can buy beer at the Blue Line Club or the Curling Club. The Curling Club requires a small membership fee. Most people go to the Blue Line club between periods. It is bottles of beer for like $3.75 or so.
  25. NH will come out of their bracket. Remember, we saw them without uberfrosh Van Riemsdyk, because he was leading the USA at the WJC. They are a team to be reckoned with.
