It isn't one factor alone, but the synergy of all- supposed to play #8, end up drawing #6 (actually tied for #5), and then on top of that, having it be played close to that team's home...and on top of that, have that #6 be the defending champ with a very strong tradition.

I think Danny has done a ton of maturing at UND. He always had sick puck skills, but he is now much better on the boards and much better in our end. I actually think that he will do well at the NHL level due primarily to who he will play with. I think he is the kind of player that plays up to the level of those around him. I don't think he will be a Parise or a Toews at the next level, but I could definitely see him becoming like a Stafford. A regular second line winger who pumps 15-25 goals in per year. Hopefully he can do that for a decade, after he lights it up in Pittsburgh in two weeks

Agree, and posted as such in another thread. The number one seed should earn the right to play the weakest two seed tn their region- the #8. Apparently the committee believes there is no difference between BC and UND. Quinnipiac as the one seed now likely faces defending champ and power BC in an arena an hour train ride from Chestnut Hill.

Niagara was great at home and .500 on road, lost the one neutral site game. If I'm reading the card right, they only won one game against nonconference in clarkson One common opponent in Holy Cross. By the stats looks like a decent top line and then a great goalie

Quinnipiac's coach is on the committee- gotta believe he doesn't want to play BC in Providence. Quinnipiac earned #1 and the right to have the #8 two seed as their biggest hurdle to the F4. Not a team tied for #5 Committee has historically tried to keep bracket integrity intact. No way does UND play DU in the opener. DU and Niagara are tied in PWR

A 3 year $3 million dollar consolation prize ain't too shabby. He also stood out at the WJC, which is generally the biggest indicator of future NHL success. He is an absolute stud defenseman
