  1. Welcome all Sioux fans down for the game. In case you didn't hear, we have a new coach. I wouldn't expect the old dump and chase game or the pathetic shoot from behind the net on powerplays, or the circle in the corner offense any more, we now actually have a coach that might surprise a few. Keep up the over-confidence, from what I've heard the players are mighty excited with the new coach and his new attitude. Not sure what the new goalie or the Canadian Jr player of the year will add to the team but can't wait to see the results on the ice.
  2. The NHC had netting (black) all last year. Its very annoying to begin with but most fans seem to get used to it and it became a non-issue.
  3. Federov, I agree with you completely, matter of fact I think you guys should just fire Blais for the dismal year you had. Oh yea, and if you do, we would be happy to let coach Blais have as bad a year for us next year here in St Cloud.... and here I thought all the idiot fans were gopher fans.
  4. As a SCSU fan that has been to a few games at UND I would say Englestad is no worse than any other hockey arena in so far as fan treatment goes. I have learned a few things regarding visiting fan "etiquette". Never, ever, under any circumstance, sit in the student section wearing anything but home team or at worst neutral colors!! Any other area you sit in, other than the visiting section with other visitor fans, cheer for your team, but only reasonably and at appropriate times. Do not respond to comments about your team unless they are actually questions. Be proud of your team but always remember that you are a visitor in their "home", AND, ....most of all....you are OUTNUMBERED!!!! Actually the worse arena I have found for poor visitor treatment is the Kohl center in Badgerland. Of course with their teams of late maybe they are just a little crabby. As far as the swearing goes, geez its hockey, tell that law student to go to a basketball game.
  5. Congradulations, you managed a split at home!
  6. 77, its definately #1, we got all the breaks, all the bounces, all the referees calls, lucky goals, caught UMD down, and most likely won't be that lucky this week end...so, don't worry, tell the team to relax at practice this week, sit Parise and play some of the Freshmen that need playing time. We promise to play a no check and no slapshot rules..
  7. I know I speak for all the SCSU fans when I say get well soon. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery! You are a great hockey player and after the way you man handled Malone you are obviously going to be a great NHL player in the future. God Bless!
  8. Goon, from where I was sitting it was an obvious intent to injure. Finger didn't say he was a saint, just that Canady did a cowardly act. I think that it was after the game was over made it all the worse. Thank goodness that Blais and Dahl got into the middle to stop what could have gotten very ugly. Put your self in Fingers place if it had been reversed. Other than that moment and of course young Shepards curious calls, I enjoyed the arena, the tribute, the fans and the Grand Forks area. If only the scores were different.
  9. Goon, and you know what your opinion is worth!!, oh, by the way, just how do you defend Canady's action, since you are obviously not bothered by it.
  10. Goon, WOW, the Sioux are 12-1-1 and you are so down on them. I guess expectations are high in sioux land. Even though I know how much you hate the Huskies, and love to belittle our name, school, coach, fans, arena, players, and anything else to do with St Cloud, I'm still looking forward to this week-ends series. I'm actually hoping for a split, but of course a sweep in our favor would be fine. This will be my first time seeing a game at Englestad although I did get a tour through the palace before it opened. I hope my seats are close to some Husky fans as I'm sure we will be outnumbered severely. Do you know where the visiting fans sit, i didn't get seats with them but hope to be close. I'm in the lower level, corner about half way up. So you think there will be a fight or two. If there is, we will be ready I'm sure, hopefully with the same outcome as when Gaffney pummeled Commodore.
  11. Hey Goon, what do you just sit around waiting for my post. That was quick!!
  12. What a bunch of whiners. I thought that the Sioux fans had class but after reading the comments here and seeing the fans at last nights Sioux victory I guess they are no different than gopher fans. Blame the officals when you lose, cry and throw things when you are behind, belittle your opponents and gloat when you win. Adams was brutal to both sides both nights. End of story!!
  13. Goon, as usual you are again giving out misinformation to suit your own need of hating the Huskies. Molly wrote a lengthy response to the article in the USCHO board. If you read it, and I'm sure you did but you never did let facts get in the way of your Huskie hate, you would know she was actually giving a compliment to UND and UM fans but was terribly mis-quoted. But go ahead , have your fun.
  14. ScottM, sure do, I think the Sioux have come out of their funk and have a good chance of getting points if Brandt or Siemba? can put in a solid game. I thought the sioux had good team speed when we played them earlier this year but they will have trouble matching it with the Gophers speed. Maybe you will get lucky and they will play Hauser in goal, get shots on him early and the goals will follow. I'd like to see at least a split for the Sioux this week-end. Oh Yea, the banner is lonely but give us time....
  15. So whats your point Clayton, we shouldn't have put the banner up, or we shouldn't be proud of that accomplishment, or since we haven't won the big one we shouldn't mention the little one or what. So we haven't won titles like UND or UM yet, we're still proud of our team and our sucesses!
