Based on my many years of living in Colorado Springs, the only way to see several WJT games in the US was with the NHL Center Ice Package. However, they were typically only showing the TSN coverage of Team Canada's Games. If you don't have Center Ice at home you should at least be able to watch Toews play at your local sports bar. Therefore, with the tournament being in Sweden, plan for lunch at your local sports bar.
A couple of the past WJT, excluding the one in Grand Forks which some of the games were on the ESPN networks, Fox Sports has broadcasted the games. Sometimes on a tape delayed basis, but we have been able to get some of the games.

Tormey should have had his stick in front of the glove. I don't think he'd have gotten injured if he had... or maybe he'd've gotten the skate to the mask. I don't know.
so this is the goalie's fault? hmmmmm

They came in on Friday, picked mine up before the UND-USA game.
Nice....thanks for the info

Sooooo...I still haven't heard anything about the Mike Commodore bobble-heads. Does anyone have the latest scoop?
I was in there last week and still nothing and have been told they are still waiting for them to arrive.

I have serious doubts about UND's ability to perform at the D1 level for the foreseeable future. Football team was good, but not overwhelming, and recruiting is going to be tough for the next few years. The men's basketball team is pathetic. I see disaster ahead.
Please don't feed this troll

Could be a snow bowl!!! Sure hope the boys have been practicing outdoors all week!!! Projected high for tomorrow is 32 degrees with winds between 10 to 20mph. Sunny in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon. Let's go Sioux!!!!
They have been practicing outdoors all week and if you have been in Grand Forks this week, 32 sounds like tropical weather conditions.

do you seriously think Finley will not be at UND next year? its not possible he is good enough, or will be good enough, to even go to the AHL, much less NHL, next season, unless ALOT changes. of course, Hak could cut him if he keeps goin down the drain like this, and then he WOULD be gone.....

so true
I watched the Sioux/Badger hockey games with thier announcers
I watched the Sioux/Anchorage games with their announcers
I watched the UMD Bulldogs/Badger games with their announcers
This weekend I'll watch UMD and Anchorage with the UAA announcers
as long as the game is on. Thats all that matters. Heck, give me no announcers, just the raw feed with sounds of tghe crowd
you are not even a Sioux fan so of course you don't care who the announcers are

I'm just glad it is going to be on tv..............

Put down the crack pipe!!
I agree....wow

I hate Mondays...
Me too

I assume you mean this week's game, but whatever the case, it would only be more egg on their face if the game isn't on this week either.

Is there any chance UND could put together a webcast on this short of notice? I have no idea how difficult that is, but presumably it's far easier, cheaper and less labor intensive than putting together a tv broadcast.
Probably would take too much time and effort for someone to set up a camera..........
Southpaw...I really appreciate your passion and support for the network and broadcasting in the region, but WDAZ dropped the ball big time on this one, there is no excuse that is going to satisfy the die-hards on this one.
So glad the UND press relase pointed out the game can be heard on the internet, that great system that stalls and buffers alot causing many sioux fans and former players across the country to turn it off in disgust because it is too frustrating to listen to.
-
1. Next season could be better.
We heard this same thing last year though from a lot of people.
-
If WDAZ doesn't do everything within their power to get this on tv, it's going to be a huge public relations black eye for them. I know KVLY attempted to get the UC-Davis game back in 2001. I don't know whether they'd ever be willing to travel to Omaha, but I suspect there's a chance if DAZ drops the ball.
I agree, this game needs to be on TV.

Despite not being playoff eligible, their season was head and shoulders better than UND's.
The Bison had a great season and were definitely a very good football team who would have done a lot of damage in the playoffs this year, but I'm not sure how you can say their season was "head and shoulders better than UND's"? I just think the comparison of the two is silly.
They are in a different division and they have more scholarships.
I would hate to see what you would say about UND's season if they had went 5-5 or worse.

simple answer.....yes

Congrats to all the guys!!!

This thread is already reaching legendary status.

A lot of teams around the country switch up their schedule from time to time and play different days than the friday/saturday routine.
-
So the webcast from the UND website won't be available
No

That is messed up. I don't recall that happening before... and I'm pretty sure that ESPN has always had the rights to D1-AA playoffs and the Heisman presentation. That really puts a crunch time between the semifinal game and the championship game. Not to mention the NFL games on Sunday night that will be in "flex schedule".
Why would you complain about this? Who cares when the games are? They are televising the games on a national network, that is a good thing.
-
Did anyone see the playoff bracket? Why is the semifinal game on a Sunday... December 10th? I can only assume that this is a mistake. If that is the case... how do we expect the NCAA to understand the playoff rankings/pairings if they can't even get the bracket dates correct?

I'm pretty sure that is correct. ESPNU and I think ESPN2 are broadcasting both of the semifinal games this year.
