Hard to believe that someone who was a finalist for the same position a couple years ago, has ties to UND and Grand Forks, and is definitely qualified would not be the lead candidate for the position.
-
I would prefer Sioux fans reserve judgment on this team until we have our full lineup intact for a lengthy stretch of time.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I and others would prefer we would start scoring and winning some games.

PCM I sit in The section right on the goal line and the goalie fished it out of the net, it was a bang, bang play. I talked to Hopper who was right behind the goal and he said it was in too. It was pretty fast but from out vantage point it was in.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
From my vantage point, that puck was in also. An official (on ice as well as goal judges) not admitting to making a mistake would not be the first time that has happened.

Saturday's attendance was 759
sunday's attendance was 588

A win tonight is badly needed. If this team cannot get up for a big game tonight, at home against a top ranked opponent, than they never will this season.

Thats the biggest mistake that kid has ever made. To come play here. Maybe if he had some help on the team. But from the looks of it, there isnt' much...maybe Zajac. Tri-City would have done alot more for him that GF could ever do.

Wow, you are really positive today.

If he tried to appeal that spearing penalty Rory would probaly get more that two games.

huh??
What?

Can we ban these guys please?

On hockeysfuture.com there is an article titled Lighting It Up (I don't know how to link it). Anyways, it talks about who of young players are doing well in the AHL. Parise is mentioned as is Vanek, yet Bo is not even though he is leading the rookies in scoring. Potulny is mentioned as someone that hasn't lived up to the author's expectations.

Someone else mentioned this but to add to my 13 points above, I don't think Lammy had his best game. He appeared to be struggling to control the puck a few different times, and left some nice rebounds. The first goal was one I think he wishes he had back. The pass came from behind the goal to right out in front. Lammy had the post covered and his stick out to block any pass that would come from the back of the goal past the post to the crease area. Unfortunately, the puck slipped underneath his stick. Before Lammy could react the lone Bemidji player slipped it through Lammy's five hole. Whether he should have had that hole closed I don't know.
The second goal was a juicy rebound that did happen to find an open Bemidji player.

Lammy might not have had his "best" game, but it doesn't help when the opposing players park in front of your net all night and not get moved out. He has been our lone bright spot in a lot of games so far this year, too bad we can't help him out and get him a win once in a while.
I thought the team looked terrible the first period. In fact, they looked as bad as I've seen a Sioux team play in over ten years. It was embarassing.
We need to win games this time of year, moral victories can be thrown out the window.

I got a kick out of his posts. He was really adamant and excited about his Sioux.
-
I would have loved to see him trying to do gymnastic routines drunk.
-
I love having to go through this every weekend the Sioux play.

.
Time to start quieting the doubters. Like Hak said on his radio program. We can take care of our own problems by winning.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I agree with you, however, with our recent play, there are good reasons why many people have doubts about this team.
-
Maybe the T-Wolves will pick him up, and actually give him some play time.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
As reported on WDAZ with Sweeney, the TWolves are interested in him.

I've lived in Bismarck, Fargo, and Grand Forks. All of them have their positives and negatives. When I retire, I wouldn't mind moving to Bismarck, but I would miss a lot of things in Fargo and Grand Forks, especially the sports scene. The Bobcats and the Wizards in Bismarck just wouldn't cut it.
-
About every six months, someone from Fargo or a bison fan brings this question up, why I have no idea. If it closed it would be horrible for not only Grand Forks,
but devastating for the whole state.
-
Parise selected as a starter, congrats to both.
-
BTW, as towns go, Bismarck blows away both GF and Fargo.

in what ways? certainly not quality of sports teams, facilities to watch them in, nightlife,

I picked Panzer, he had a solid four years, a Grand Forks kid, and was a great role model for younger players.
