A very very sad end to a season that was looking like the men could make a run, but the final four games really were an embarassment. Rich needs to go.

He has scored goals at every level he has played at. I seem to laugh every time Woog talked about him, because he always mentioned that Brandon's knock is he can't skate. I'll take him "not being able to skate" and scoring goals like he does anyday.

It is really tough to make that comparison. A championship high school hockey game has a lot of excitement, especially when its between the two home town schools. You have a lot of fans on both sides, where as a home hockey game usually has a good majority of the fans cheering for only one of the teams.

Canuck I just pointed to some reasons why the building might not have been full, not saying that is why for sure, just speculating. I know a group of about 20 individuals who didn't make the trip in from Fargo, because the roads were so bad. According to the Herald, there were quite a few accidents on the highways around the area yesterday.

First of all, it was a sunday afternoon game. Second, the participants and fans of the state high school hockey tourney the days before, really boosted saturday's attendance. Third, the weather and roads were really bad.

DaveK Wow, that is all I can say about your post. Sounds like you are a little bitter about South losing in the semifinals. What is kind of funny is you have been saying all along that South would win the title and the Grand Forks dominance was over, well guess what, South is not going to win the title this year. I do not have a dog in this fight at all, but you call some Grand Forks people "elitists" for gloating about their programs, but your post does just as much gloating and bragging as anyone's posts on here. So let me take a guess, your kid plays for the Flyers? Your quote of "what I've seen with my own eyes the kids who play hockey in the Fargo youth program are superior players to the kids who play in the GF youth program", is kind of amusing. You are the kind of hockey parent that is killing youth hockey and giving it a bad name. Let the kids play and quite judging them at such an early stage in their hockey career. Fargo has a great youth hockey program, but that is still a long ways away from high school hockey.

It should be a fun game to watch. The GFC / Red River matchup is always a fun game to see whenever they play, but really exciting when its for the state chamionship. Marto has continued to impress me.

Williston looked good for the 1st period and for a couple minutes into the 2nd, actually leading the game 3-1 in the 2nd, but Minot poured it on, scoring 6 goals in the 2nd. I think the final was 8-4, Minot.
