  1. Well, we'll see what kind of progress he made over the summer with his neck.  Quite frankly, I'd be shocked and appalled if Bina was cleared to play.  I'm not saying I don't want him back, I'm saying that his chances of paralysis upon coming back too soon is extremely high.  It is a risk I would never want to see one take.

    Thank you Dr.

  2. A friend of mine has asked a question I don't know the answer to regarding the Kupchella letter. The question refers to the following paragraph of the letter:

"We have two Sioux tribes based here in North Dakota. One has, in fact, objected to our use of the name, "Sioux," applied to our sports teams. The other said it was okay, provided that we took steps to ensure that some good comes of it, in educating people and students about the cultural heritage of this region. This mix of opinions is apparently not unlike that faced by our sister institution in Florida."

    His question is:

"What two Sioux tribes are in North Dakota and which one is he referring to as objecting to the nickname? Does that tribe still actively seek to have it changed?  If so, what measures have they taken or are they taking?"

Does anybody here know the answer?

I believe the two Sioux tribes are the Standing Rock Sioux and the Spirit Lake Sioux. The Standing Rock Sioux are the tribe objecting to the nickname.

  3. After re-reading the whole thread, I actually have become even more frustrated, because GK and KnowtheFacts do not answer any of the serious questions posed to them.

The NCAA could stand to maybe spend some time on graduation rates amongst student athletes, but they decide to tackle this issue.

  4. Have any of you guys seen one of those oversized shirts that will have the body of a chick in a bikini??  Tacky would be a good way to go.  Plus, you couldn't tell me that that wouldn't sell for being.....  ummm.... unique.  ;)  :0

    I like that idea ..... :D

  5. It was interesting to read Ottawa's comments regarding Lee. They said that they thought he was going to be picked before them and he was ranked at the top of their draft list, of course below Crosby I'm sure, but when Pittsburgh won the lottery, Lee was the Senators' choice.

The scouting services had him going anywhere from 10-30, so I really don't see that big of a surprise to see him picked at 9.

  6. I guess so much for the announcers statements, we will see, I can't see Brian being ready to play in the NHL in two seasons, just my HMO, but what do I know I am just a fan.

I can't see it either, but when the GM says they are going to "have to have him" playing, because of the potential of having no one on their blueline because of free agency, I think they are very serious in wanting him in their system.

  7. The announcers basically said that Lee won't be rushed from college.

There are a couple of young players ahead of them. So basically we have him for two to three seasons.

Interesting to hear John Muckler say that they are going to have to have Lee playing for them in 2 years.
