Besides that, INCH likes to take shots at Grand Forks any time it gets a chance. They have also had some feature articles that have been nothing but a complete joke. Remember the one about the goalies a couple years ago that basically said Karl Goehring never won a big game for the Sioux??
Having 4 forwards on that list is pretty impressive for the Sioux, but let's face it, if Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Bobby Orr all were 18 again and coming to the Sioux, INCH would still list them well down on that chart.
That is very good news, it has me fired up just reading it.
If any of you haven't met or heard Mr. Buning speak, he is a very animated person who is really fun to talk with.
They didn't do anything special? How many interceptions? A returned INT for a TD. They gave the offense great field position numerous times. After reading your post, you make it sound like we almost lost that game or something.
It might have been easy for you, but it is a very very tough struggle for people who are addicted to quit. Even Big Tobacco admits nicotine is addictive, but for some reason, you don't think it is that big of a problem.
It was interesting to follow the city of Grand Forks and their discussions about the smoking ban. At the beginning, the city council talked about restrictions that would be tougher than the state law, but as time passed and the actual law came before the city council, they ended up passing a law that was just about the same as the state smoking ban.
I would have liked to see an across the board ban as well.
I agree with you MafiaMan. I'm not trying to say that I think we should fight the tribes over this and drag everything and everyone in the mud, I just get frustrated by your point that his country seems to cater to the minority more and more.
I couldn't disagree more. How come it is all right for a minority group to play the "freedom of speech" card for whatever they feel like, even when they are in the clear minority, but when the majority talks about using it, now we must step back and ask ourselves "is it the right thing to do?"
Interesting to note that it has already caused Bonzer's to apply for a different liquor license. They will now be a 21 and older bar/sandwich pub, Therefore you can still smoke in there, but you have to be 21 to go in. This law has really hurt some small town supper clubs that are the only place in town to get a good meal for a family. A lot of them have just changed to restricing anyone under 21 from coming in, so they can continue to allow smoking.
