Man this is tough. Bruns is such a stud. Danielson plays with so much dang effort, you can’t coach that. But we just don’t have the talent. We get absolutely bullied inside all game every game.

We lose Panoam - Eaglestaff fills this - I doubt Ethan is back and from what I’ve heard Sueker is likely moving on as well so there’s 3 of our main minutes. I personally would like to maintain the rest of the roster though I’m sure we will see more defections as it seems we do lately.

I get that fear just because Bruns is from SD but I don’t think there is really any reason to fear that. Can’t wait to see Bruns and Eaglestaff ball out together for years to come. As @NewUndFan said, let’s get ourselves a true PG (maybe Grant can develop into that) and then we have something going.

Alright, the second half of the season has begun. UND competed tough with a talented NDSU squad but I don’t think anyone wants moral victories. What is everyone’s expectations for the second half? What would be a realistic successful conference season look like for you? The biggest thing I will be looking for is the development of the freshman, mainly the ones outside of Bruns because he has already shown what he’s capable of and I would say is clearly our best player. I anticipate Grant taking more and more minutes from Bentiu but need to see him gain confidence in his scoring ability, it’s in there. Matthews is already nice size and has a bit of defensive presence but would like to see more on both ends. I am really interested to see Levias play. He was extremely efficient at the JUCO level and was available for the NDSU game from my understanding. Let’s also continue to see the increased scoring from T and Norman. They’ve taken some steps forward lately. Overall, I am cautiously optimistic for conference play.

Are there highlights of this game anywhere?

Listened on the radio. Much closer than I anticipated. I really don’t get why we keep starting Bentiu. We need all hands on deck so he’s going to get minutes but I think both Norman and Grant provide more when on the court.
