I know some of you are Tom Miller haters and thought he pushed the Romfo agenda last fall but so far in his camp updates seems like either JTJ or Kaminski are leading the race. Now it’s been 4 days, plenty of time.

I don’t think the jerseys need to be “special”. I just want clean jerseys that don’t look silly when you buy them without a number. Nashville jerseys, Nodak jerseys and you’re good. Color variations of both, of course.

Besides the new look defense, this is the main thing everyone will be watching come fall camp. You have: - The incumbent in Simon Romfo who missed spring ball and left a lot to be desired in his play last year. - The FBS transfer Javance Tupou'ata-Johnson who received money from the collective but sounds like didn’t have the smoothest transition during the spring. - The prized recruit in Jerry Kamniski who everyone has pretty much wanted to win the job since he’s gotten to campus. - The overlooked in Jack Sulik. Feels like people don’t think of him as a possibility but from all accounts he has impressed coaches and he has the size. What do you guys think?

Probably just a skewed view on my end of USD but I don’t think they replicate last year. Sure Bouman returns and he’s good but they lost most of their OL, if not all. Lost Theis, Bell and Galbreath. Lost at least 3 of their best defenders including the DPOTY. Lost their head coach, although I’m sure he’s still around and I do like Johansen a lot. I don’t know, only time will tell I guess.

And that’s where we are such a question. JTJ may look the part but sure sounds like he didn’t have the smoothest spring, which isn’t unexpected I guess. Need one of the QBs to step up and show they are the guy! When’s the last time we had a game changing QB?

I remember being pretty excited about Pierre Allen Jr. and Theo Grace when they committed. Feel like I have been so focused on the portal adds and the 2026 class I’ve almost forgotten about the 2025 class. There’s a lot of players I’m excited to see. Jimmie Maxson III, Charles Langama and his MG classmates, Owen Thiegles, Griffin Broderick (holy size!) just to name a few.
