  1. Really not that far fetched. That would be less than ideal!
  2. Wait did he get banned or just stopped coming here?
  3. I’m disappointed but not discouraged with that outcome. We can play with them. Holding Kyle like we did was good to see. But then Zeke went off. We can still win the conference tournament. We could also lose game 1. This league is up for grabs for anyone.
  4. Yeah the lines flipped a bit.
  5. UND looked like they had an opportunity to close out a huge road win at NDSU and then a technical and some dominance by Andrew Morgan led the Bison to victory. Not the end of the world, but one you would have liked to have. Time to bounce back against the Bunnies. SDSU, while not as dominant as they have been in the past, still see themselves at the top of the Summit. Led by #2, Zeke Mayo, averaging 19ppg, 3.6apg and 5.9rpg and finds himself in the mix for conference Player of the Year. After that, #42, William Kyle III, is a ton to handle. He’s averaging 13.4ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.6bpg. He had 20 last time we played. #1 Matt Mims and #30 Charlie Easley are really good defenders and no slouches on defense. #13, Luke Appel, will be a lot to handle down low as well. This is a tough, good, well coached team. A win here would snap a game 16 game losing streak, yikes! KenPom predicts this to be a tight one but a 75-74 loss. BartTorvik says 76-75 loss. People, please try your best to get to the Betty. This is one of the more important games in the D1 era. For sure, in the Sather era. A win here, I think gets us the regular season title. I just think if we win, SDSU will lose to NDSU then and we should smack USD. Just my thoughts! If you can’t get to the Betty though, watch on Summit League Network.
  6. I saw so many damn bunnies outside of my office today.
  7. Don’t freak out! Nothing bad…. Yet. I just wanted to start this to share portal news that is or could be relevant to UND. I’m going to start it off with this kid from the MIAC. He’s getting some bigger interest right away so might be out of UND’s reach and also might not be exactly what we are looking for.
  8. UND bounced back from an ugly performance against UMKC to dominate on the road against ORU and Denver. Now it’s time to see if they can continue their conference best road record (I think, I didn’t actually fact check) against the team to the south, NDSU. If it’s anything like the last matchup, it’s going to be an absolute grind. Gotta see if BJ can respond better to Demari Wheeler Thomas hounding him. If we get a better performance from BJ and Trey, I think we will be in business. If not, could be a long afternoon of doom and gloom. NDSU is no slouch and has been playing good ball, they will want this. KenPom has UND losing 73-71, BartTorvik says 73-70 and Vegas doesn’t have a line yet. If you can, I say get to Fargo. I personally can’t so will be watching this one on CBS Sports Network.
  9. How are we not offering kids in our backyard before everyone else?
  10. He shows some flashes but his defense can kind of be like his offense sometimes and just be completely nonexistent. I’d take him over Moody any day of the week. Imagine if we got him until he’s 25 or however old Moody is!
  11. I’m not saying every kid was D1 worthy but it didn’t start with Trey. Tyree was certainly D1 worthy. Bruns was D1 worthy, as much as I hate him. I think Sims was D1 worthy, he just made some poor decisions. Nero was D1 worthy, but he fell off a cliff. Danielson is D1 worthy, even with as much flack as he gets. Norman was D1 worthy. T is D1 worthy. Brooks some would say is D1 worthy. You can argue some of those (I know some will with Brady and I’m not trying to say he’s D1 starter or even regular mins but he can play D1 (low major) ball). My main point is this didn’t start with Trey. Sather has been able to get some talented kids here. Landing Trey may have been easy but it wasn’t just a complete shoe-in and Trey wasn’t the only determinant in getting BJ and Eli here. All the legacy and all that helped but some credit is due to Sather and co.
  12. Not disagreeing but who were his big pulls so far? BJ was Horstman along with Trey, I believe. Tyree is Sather. Amar is Stevens.
  13. This team can be so damn good. Wow. Winning is freaking fun!
  14. Guys, I think Eli King is what Sather thinks Brady Danielson is.
  15. Wow. I turned the game on and think they turned the ball over more than points? This is pathetic.
  16. UND gets back in the W column with a victory at Denver. I didn’t get the chance to watch the full thing live but caught up watching the replay today and really don’t know how they managed to win and win by that much. Denver just couldn’t capitalize on all the turnovers to start the 2nd half. They are as overrated as I thought. On to ORU. While success hasn’t necessarily translated in the win columns against Oral Bob, I do think Sather has generally performed better against them than expected in the past. And they are down this year. If UND continues to rebound like they have, they will dominate this game. But if they don’t, and let McBride, Thompson and Weaver do their thing, it might be a long game. KenPom has UND losing this thing 76-73, BartTorvik agrees and Vegas has UND +2. Catch the game on SLN.
  17. DAE, Moody and Ramsey I bet.
  18. UND’s win streak ended with a complete ass whooping to Kansas City. I don’t really have much of a write up for this game against Denver besides Tommy Bruner is the guy to watch. Denver -3.5. Catch the game on SLN.
