Not exactly sure where to put this but good listen with Martinson talking about Vegas next year and then a bit on the process of hiring Dane. CHN guys were kind of critical on prior pod of how it played out. Starts around the 33 min mark and then Dane talk around 41.

I get the thought process of saying a guy that played a position has to coach that position but don’t you think these guys have been around the game long enough where even if they are a “trained” defenseman, they can coach a forward? I don’t know, maybe I’m naive but I think once you’ve been in the game long enough you can handle more than just your position group.

Not sure if UND has interest or not but he’s someone I really wanted out of high school. Sun Prairie kid so was teammates with Kaminski, Alton Williams and Sam Ostrenga.

I just don’t know how this will work out well for Sather. What does he have to do this year to get an extension? Please leave the cry at a press conference joke out. I legitimately don’t know what will get him one. Maybe if the lack of perceived expectations is true then a .500 conference season would do it? Unless he pulls a few rabbits out of a hat, that seems like a stretch. I’ve said it before but I will say it again, if I was Paul Sather, I would have either called up Creighton and asked Greg if he could do me a solid and get me an assistant role or gone back to Northern State. Just doesn’t seem like he’s in a winnable situation here.

If Deng is getting a “bag” from Omaha, good for him. He had a couple good moments this year but majority of the time I preferred when he wasn’t on the floor. Maybe Crutch and KB can get more out of him.

Feel like he would have fit better with BYU or Gonzaga.

There was a lot of hype around him but keep in mind this isn’t the staff he committed to. He gave it a shot and maybe it wasn’t what he was looking for. Or the staff said he’s not what they’re looking for.

He is doing a great job but think we are comparing apples to oranges here. Also, if Trey is really going to get $1.5m, that’s bananas. Wherever he ends up is going to be real disappointed when he just disappears for games.
