With the addition of Jayden Thomas, I think I either move Kraft to 6th man and slide Wagner and Parks down and put Thomas at the 4 or just replace Parks with Thomas.
You’re not wrong that’s it’s not BIG but his game is a big. Seems like these days if you’re 6’10+ and can run up and down a court, you are going to get a significant bag.
I think we are in more need of a 4, personally. I know people have their opinion of Kraft but I would put good money he’s our starter this year. Started all this past year and was one of the few to remain.
So as we currently stand, we are looking something like this:
1 - Winkel, Moore
2 - Kraft, Evanson
3 - Wagner, Ouse
4 - Parks, Hanson
5 - Jones, Ely
Parks is a little small to be a 4 but that’s where I slid him for now.
That’s my thought as well. There’s going to be examples that do succeed but I think I like the idea of guys the perform either at JUCO or D2 for the areas that UND should attack.
Eli King. NDSU got Tay Smith from D2, Trevian Carson from JUCO, Skytta from Sac State and Markhi Strickland from Western Michigan. No P5s until Robison.
For sure going to be never ending but at least in hockey we are generally the beneficiary of the portal whereas football and basketball that is not the case.
I don’t think Wylee ever would have been a starter here but I think he could have been a real solid role player the next two years. Showed flashes, see SDSU.
