Very possible. Some may transfer even if he's not. BF (and the #gobc) needs to make a decision on what he thinks is best for the future of the program.

Agreed. I have to imagine if we make the championship game we will see Jones back, whether that's the right decision or not. Either way I am going to cheer for them the rest of the way. I wouldn't mind seeing us implement a small ball offense with Geno, Hooker, Baldwin, Seales and Bernstine out on the floor. I believe that's the lineup we had out for the EWU game when we pulled away.

True I just think even if that does happen he's the best option for us in the future. I mean obviously we aren't going to bring in Coach K (said that so hoops doesn't come in here saying it) but I truly think we can find better options. Heck I think Ryan Moody would be a better option even though that'd be a bit of a jump from a head coaching standpoint.

Yeah not sure. I did notice former UND commit Jake Hartford now SDSU commit liked it but that might mean nothing.
-
I appreciate the class he had in his note though.

Also, I was just thinking about Q this year and I think he needs to understand he does not need to be the guy this year. He took a bad 3 at the end of the game and I am not a fan of his fading away deep 2s. His vision is still fantastic and he's a really good scorer but I just hope he knows he doesn't need to do it all this year like he did last.

When Bernstine's happened I figured we would have got a whistle if it would not have gone in but then seeing Geno's I am not so sure that would have been the case. Pretty pathetic. For any that watched the game on tv was Geno's block that they called goaltending actually? I could not tell if the ball hit the backboard before he hit the ball. Either way quite the athletic play by him. After watching him Thursday, I think he may be our most athletic player with Collins being a close second.

Really liked Avants game yesterday. He is the type of hard-nosed player we need. Bruenig still ended up with good stats but I thought Avants did a very respectable job of guarding him at least in the first half. He showed he has a bit of range too with a deep 2-pointer. I would like to see him continue to get a lot of minutes. I think he provides more than Shanks at this point.

Looking forward to seeing if Geno can build off his strong performance on Thursday. It is nice knowing we have some players other than Hooker that can lead the team in scoring and still bring us a W. I will admit I am not the biggest Jones fan out there but he does seem to do a solid job of bringing in some good players but I just wish he did a better job of balancing out the classes.

I really like when the guards keep handing the ball off to each other at the top of the three point line. Reminds me of hockey setting up a power play behind their own net.

I like it.

Shanks lets his emotions get the best of him and hurts him.
-
I looked on Monday and he was still enrolled.
-
Judging by his Twitter and Facebook I think he's gone.

It sucks but wish the best to Elijah. So with that we lose 4 of our 5 starting o-lineman correct? Only Stockwell back?
-
Was just running searches through the directory and searched Merz and it says he is still enrolled at UND.

Excited to go to this game. Have not watched this team in person for a while. I would love to see Seales be more aggressive as he is shooting over 50% from the field on the year. Hopefully Shanks can build off of his strong offensive performance against ISU.

I am guessing this weekend is a big recruiting weekend? I believe I saw Cam Hunt will be here. Always nice when you can bring them to the Ralph for the hockey game also the Montana-UND basketball game before that on Saturday!

Shanks played well offensively other than the turnovers but that was a problem for the whole team. I just can't get over Shanks rebounding though. Four boards for a 7 footer, tied for least of the starters with a 6' guard. All in all though, a road win is always a good win. If Ethan Telfair had any help we would have been in trouble.
-
42-31 UND at the half. Shanks showing some ups with two big two handed slams. Baldwin has been hot from three.
-
One of the better offensive performances from Shanks I've seen. 34-24 UND up.

No Collins or Cashman on the bench. Edit: I guess they probably weren't at the Weber game either but I didn't catch that one.
