Add Philippe Lamoureux to the training room roster.Lamoureux probably won't make the trip to Mankato, UND coach Dave Hakstol said this afternoon. Haksol said no decision has been made on who will play in Mankato -- Anthony Grieco or Aaron Walski. Lamoureux didn't practice Tuesday or Wednesday.

About the only hockey mullett I have seen is this:
Although it is one of the ugliest mulletts I have ever seen.
I once saw a guy wearing a Penguins jacket sporting that exact same mullet.

My ice skating class started today and Coach Eades is the teacher. He noticed my Madison sweatshirt and commented that they were talking to a recruit from Stevens Point this past week. Here is the little info that I have come up with:
Steven's Point Area High School hockey roster
Best Boys Hockey Players at State (WI)
Anyone know anything about this or have info on Steven's Point hockey players?
Chuck?

If I order the HDTV Box from Comcast for $5/mo will I be able to view the FS college channels, one of which is carrying tomorrows game. I dont have an HDTV.
You will get the digital channels. You won't need a HDTV, the games will not be broadcast in HD.

I hppe this is still the case at S-SM. CSTV Chat
James Hanley, Hershey PA: I moved from North Dakota to PA, so I know the history of the Fighting Sioux Hockey Team. What was your feeling when you first put on the Sioux Jersey and stepped on to the ice, have you ever been in the old "RALPH", where a lot of Sioux History has been made? Thanks for your time and GO FIGHTING SIOUX HOCKEY !!!!!!!!!!!Jonathan Toews: Well it was definitely something special. When I went to school at Shattuck St. Mary's, we were all Fighting Sioux fans because there were already a lot of players who graduated and were playing for the Sioux. So when I moved on from Shattuck and wore the Sioux crest, I felt like I had some big shoes to fill there. It's a great feeling to play for this program because you have so many loyal fans supporting you every game. You almost want to go out there and win games for the Sioux fan who has been sitting in that same seat all these years. So every game you're playing for something that is much bigger than yourself.

jeff, in minny: Great to have you back this season! I noticed that Brad Malone gave us a verbal commitment today. Coach Hakstol and his staff are great recruiters....what brought you to UND and will your brother be following in your footsteps?Jonathan Toews: Coach Hakstol has been doing a great job of scouting and recruiting in the past few years. For me, a big thing was how the players treated me when I visited the locker room after one of the games during my senior year in high school. When it came down to it, it just seemed like UND was a great place to play hockey. It was exciting to watch games at the Ralph Engelstad in a town where people really care about the hockey team. As for my brother, I think he will do what he feels is the right think for him when it's time to make that decision...so we will see.

Might as well add Brad Malone!

Saturday I handed the lady my season ticket and she asked where my student id was. I replied I did not have a student ticket. She replied that I needed a student id to get in again. So I told her I am not a student, don't have a student ticket, and don't have a student id. She looked at me weird, scanned my ticket and let me in. Are these people drinking before the games or something?
I had the same thing happen to me last year. My wife, my son (2 at the time) and I use the "student entrance". The guy scanning tickets told me that we had to have a student ID to go through those gates. I have used those doors for 4 years.

College Hockey News: Things to Watch, Part 1
5. Who will win the Hobey? The preseason discussion will likely start and end with Wisconsin goalie Brian Elliott, the only member of last year's Hat Trick returning. Many thought he should have won it last year, and he might have, if not for an injury which cost him some time. Elliott led the nation in GAA (1.55) and save percentage (.938).
He won't be the only goalie getting mentioned as a possible winner. Cory Schneider of Boston College tied with Elliott for the lead in shutouts last season with eight and was third in save percentage while leading the nation in minutes played. North Dakota's Jordan Parise might also get some mention from between the pipes.

I "think" I remember reading in the Forum that Moreland did not make the cut as a walkon with the Sioux, so he went back to the Jets.
