WDAY news was in Moorhead for the Moorhead-Roseau game tonight and they said that Dave Hakstol and Don Lucia were in attendance.

I was in Vegas for the 2005 Frozen Four and watched both games at the Imperial Palace. They would'nt give us audio, because of the Masters, but the played the game for us. There was probably 8-10 Sioux fans in there.

I am listening to the game on Game 1040 out of Vancouver. They aired a Toews interview during the intermission break. A lot of talk about the Sioux, the arena, the tradition and the nickname. As always with Toews, a very good interview.

You've probably figured it out by now, but it says Canada-Sweden, but is actually Canada-USA. It is really choppy for me though.

Toews just took a hit and is "being attended to" by the trainers.

I agree, he played pretty well tonight. I wish he would've got to fight, maybe it would have sparked the team. The only downfall tonight was that 9 out of 10 of his shots (just guessing) went into the shin pads of Tech players.

Blais was on the Bernie Burgraff hockey show about 3-4 weeks ago. Bernie asked him about coaching college hockey again. Blais said that he was focused on his job right now, but he would sit down and look at things when the year was over. He also talked about college recruiting, saying that he doesn't like recruiting 15-16 year olds and that he would go after the older kids (he mentioned Maine's team). From the way he was talking about it, he sounded exited about college hockey.

Kind of Sioux related...I got my Canada jersey signed by Toews, who signed it with his WJC# 39.

Blais was on Bernie Burgraff's radio show last weekend. He said all of his focus is on player development. Bernie asked if he would go back to coaching college and Dean said he would sit down at the end of the year and evaluate everything. On a side note: Bernie and him talked about NCAA vs. CHL. They had an idea that when an NHL club takes a college player early, the NHL club pays the college the equivalent of the left over scholarship. They said that when a NHL club signs a major junior player early, they have to pay $100,000 to the MJ club. Blais said that the NCAA has to do something to combat the CHL. He hates seeing coaches have to recruit 14, 15, 16 year old kids.
