Probably a valid concern. However, I think he would surprise all of us with his staff if he has the right salary pool in place.

I'm both surprised and disappointed that you think I would say something like that just to 'stir the pot'. It would be one thing if my track record on here had proven otherwise, but I dont believe that to be the case. Specifically within the last month or so.

How about this? Golladay to NIU? Nothing official, but..... Would everyone just relax please? Faison needs time. His hands are tied. Just let this all play out. I trust and have faith that Faison has a plan and knows what he's doing. He understands how Division 1 football works, specifically with hiring a head coach. He has a great football network that he uses. He's a great PR guy and communicator and he knows what he's doing. He's a great leader of men and people just naturally gravitate towards him. They respond to him. He inspires confidence. He's the kind of guy people will run through walls for. Regarding Pflugrad: unless something has changed since they originally trimmed it down to 9, he's out.

Did a little research myself. Without knowing his personality and "background", I'd say at minimum, he is definitely worth looking at as a legit candidate.

Thank you for justifying why this whole process is a joke. There is absolutely no way that Jeff Mills should be considered if anyone with a brain does their research on him. None. "Hey this guy has a TON of experience and credentials at the FBS level....he's not been very successful and has been all over because of his lack of success, but WOW look at that resume....he gets an extra 'check' from me"

Pflugrad is not in the top 9. To be fair, he never had a shot like I had been trying to say all along. Right, wrong or indifferent, that was the case and I can certainly understand it. Weber State did pass on him too, that's confirmed. Jeff Mills? I have no interest in hiring a head coach who was just forced out as DC from New Mexico by Bob Davie. None. 2013 New Mexico Defense: - 43 ppg allowed - 257 rushing ypg allowed - 259 passing ypg allowed - 516 total ypg allowed Although I do realize there is a rich history and winning tradition for their football program down there. I know many people on here are very concerned about the hiring and decision making process for a variety of reasons, some of which is justifiable. If Jeff Mills is in the 'final 9' then I have absolutely zero faith in this whole process.

Would that include background checks, previous criminal record checks, valid driver's license checks....little, petty, detailed stuff like that too?

I don't know anything about what they know about hiring a football coach, but at minimum it is probably a fair and legit question. I would ask Brian Faison as he put it together himself. I will say having Baukol and Smith on it is a good thing.

Daniella Irle, Amanda Hajdu, Sue Jeno, Bruce Smith, Nate Baukol. Mike Berg was on it but unfortunately had to leave for family reasons.

Because of the recruiting calendar. I respectfully submit that I'm not quite sure how much more clear I can be about that. National Signing Day is February 5th. They have to hire a staff after they hire a Head Coach. How long will it take to hire a staff? Open records. HR protocol. We will have the same problems facing the staff applicants, correct? If hiring a Head Coach is not deemed an "emergency hire" then hiring staff assistants surely doesn't either. UND Football cannot afford to miss out on a quality recruiting class. At this pace they will. Just my opinion.

Hey, just have "trust and faith" in Faison that he is taking his time and doing things "the right way". Everything has gone just as planned and everything will be fine.... And then we will have to hire the assistants and go through HR protocol and deal with the UND open records laws again with all of them because "football coaches aren't considered emergency hires" right? If they are considered emergency hires, then why didn't they do it with the most important hire of all? Just sad.
