Team speed? I don't think so.

Yeah, I think WMU will do their best to slow us down, but CC tried it and once we starting playmaking with speed, we took over. I see the same series. Just my $.02.

Exactly. That's why I think he could have a lot of success against a team like WMU.

The kid loves to pass. But, the coaches are obviously getting this in his head that he needs to shoot. Lately he's done a lot better job of getting to the net using his speed and skill. My point is, since he's playing a slower (not slow, but slower than UND) team, he'll have a bit more space to drive the net. I think he pots a few this weekend. Confidence is huge for a kid like Schmaltz. If he gets one on a big shot, he'll shoot more and naturally, score more.

Alright, I'm bored... So, who has the biggest weekend? Who breaks out and starts a big stretch run? I think the answer is N. Schmaltz for both. Playing a big, not overly fast team, if Nick can find some space .... giddy up. I'll say a 3 goal, 2 assist weekend.

Thing that I think has been a common thread we've heard from the players is that they have yet to "play their best hockey." Two things about this... 1) We have six losses this year and have yet to "play our best hockey." That's exciting. 2) We need to get to that level soon and very soon. Getting close to one-and-done time. That's scary. But, if we do .....
