  1. Not sure it's a realistic expectation for a kid to become a shooter. Shane doesn't have a blistering wrister and it can improve, yes, but it's hard to just become a shooter. He relies on his quick feet and instinct to guess where he needs to be an buries his chances.
  2. Why? This is how Gersh scores. They all count for one.
  3. Definitely has the skill and he has a knack for being in the right place. Kid is always around the net and that's why he's been so dynamite this year.
  4. Not big enough, yet. Still gets knocked off the puck too easily. I'd be very, very surprised to see him leave after this year. Less after his junior year, but I'd bet he's a four year guy.
  5. I love how he talks like Omaha is such a crazy, exciting city. I've been there. It's meh lol. Good city, but it's certainly nothing I'd stay long for haha.
  6. LOL did that guy really just come on here, take a shot at us on OUR board and then get whiny and defensive when we took shots back? Some people's kids, I'll tell ya....
  7. 100% agree. That effort and grit that the boys showed in Schenectady coupled with the return of Boeser from injury and Jost from the WJC.... it's on. Feeling good.
  8. Best of 5 was tied, then it was sudden death from there. Went to the 8th round.
  9. WOW.... If you didn't get a chance to watch that game, find a way to watch that game. US wins in SO in round 8 when DU's Troy Terry scores twice times in the last two rounds for the win. Shades of TJ Socchi. US to the Gold Medal Game. Insane stuff.
  10. Having gone to UND and attended many a hockey party, I'd say the bunnies are just fine and MUCH less expensive to keep happy
  11. Alright man. Agree to disagree. Yeah, so, go ahead and stick with "right" when you're not actually sure you are lol.
  12. Sure, but it'd be weird for USA Hockey to make it a rule if it's not a rule in IIHF, right?
  13. And like I said, I'd assume it's similar since USA Hockey plays in IIHF tournaments.
  14. USA Hockey has it in their rule book, so I'd assume it's similar, if not the same.
  15. I think if they play like they did tonight, it stays close. We were MUCH defensively tonight than the first two games against inferior opponents.
  16. US wins 3-2! Suck it, commies.
  17. US could have easily been up 3-0. The difference between the Latvia goalie today and yesterday is pretty evident. Plus, Russia is in their second game. US kept growing as the game went a long last night and will preform better in their second game.
  18. They also dominated possession and in shots, however. I absolutely agree with the penalties, however. I just think they have too much scoring talent not to medal.
  19. Really? I definitely see them getting a medal. Way too much forward depth not to medal.
  20. I'd assume no unless Union has a TV feed we can steal.
  21. You're totally right. I take it back
  22. I feel like Cam will leave after this season. No bearing behind it. Just a hunch. We may take a step back after this year and his stock is slowly slipping, as it is. Again, just a hunch.
  23. http://thesportsdaily.com/goonsworld-blog/the-tomek-question/ Goonie talks about Tomek and I think his quote is important. His goal is still to be the No. 1 tendy at UND and he spent the whole quote talking about the team. To me, this says a lot about the kid. “I didn’t get to play last year because of a pre-season groin injury that needed surgery, and recovery time from it,” Matej said. “But I was really happy to be on the team we had last year. It was an amazing group of guys that was able to accomplish a big thing after sixteen years of our program not winning a National Championship, so everyone was really excited when we won. Everyone on the team was really happy about it, so it was a great first college hockey experience to be a part of the National Championship team even though I didn’t play.” “Expectation for me personally is the same as when I first came here. I want to be the number one goalie and play as much as I can. This is also my last year to try and play in the World Juniors for Slovakia so I think the World Juniors and becoming the number one goalie at UND is the prime goals.” (World Junior 2017)
