A witness called 911 and followed the suspects until police caught up to the vehicle. Police said they then attempted to stop the vehicle, but the two teens kept driving and a chase ensued through southwest Minot. Both suspects were then apprehended in the 1700 block of 13th Street SW. Police said Massine was taken to the Ward County Jail where he faces felony charges of robbery and fleeing in a motor vehicle. The juvenile male was charged with felony robbery, refusal to halt and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Ward County Juvenile Detention Facility. Cause like that's where the dollars are, man.....

Gunman robs Dollar Market February 20, 2016 By PHIL TORRES - Staff Writer (ptorres@minotdailynews.com) , Minot Daily News Save | Comments (8) | Post a comment | The Dollar Market at 1910 S. Broadway Street was robbed at gunpoint at 4:20 p.m. Friday. The unnamed gunman, identified as a caucasian, was wearing a black hooded sweater with his face covered by a bandanna, according to eye-witness Bekka Beaufeaux. The masked gunman asked a cashier for the money in the register. Witnesses said the cashier responded, "Pardon me?" The gunman then lifted his sweater to reveal his handgun. Article Photos Mike Sasser/MDN The Dollar Market at 1910 S. Broadway Street was robbed at gunpoint at 4:20 p.m. Friday. "The employees did an amazing job," said Beaufeaux. About a half-dozen store patrons who were in the back of the store moved to the stockroom, including a seven-year-old child. "I was really scared," said the young witness. "[Beaufeaux] was distracting me by playing games." Games like thumb wars and tic-tac-toe kept the girl preoccupied while the customers hid. The police arrived at the store nine minutes after the 911 call was placed, according to eyewitnesses. The masked gunman jumped into an old, blue sedan hidden behind a snowbank in the back alleyway of the Dollar Market and headed north, according to an eyewitness. No one was injured. © Copyright 2016 Minot Daily News. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.

UND FIGHTING HAWKS @ Denver - SATURDAY Gameday

Maybe because fans rag on a 23-4-3 team down by 1 after 2? -
QU loses to St. Lawrence in OT. Beats Clarkson in OT.Two powerhouses. Over-rated?

Didn't see any sign of a LaDue injury last night. Sick? -

It was mentioned in an earlier post that the flu was going through the team. Maybe that combined with the altitude, had something to do with the ass dragging lapses?

But athletic director Barry Alvarez downplayed the men's hockey ticket sales downturn in comparison to higher revenue-producing sports football and men's basketball."You don't like for it to happen, but hockey is not going to make or break us," Alvarez said. "We don't like that, obviously. We're not satisfied with that. But we've got to keep that big stadium (Camp Randall) full and we've got to keep the Kohl Center full" for men's basketball. Can you imagine if Brian Faison said that about football or basketball at UND? I almost feel sorry for Bucky hockey.

I don't blame Cam. First goal was a seeing eye puck, he had 4 players stacked in front of him.Second was a tap in,D didn't cover the open man.Third was all on Thompson, let Plant come across the slot and tap in the pass from Moore.Fourth, Poolman and Walanin let Heinen waltz in between them, post and in. Fifth, Ladue doesn't go after puck on the wall,Denver player picks a daisy and passes to Shore, crossbar down. Starman said Grant Fuhr wouldn't have stopped that one.

LaDue.

They looked gassed all game. Altitude has an effect. Cam didn't have any real bad ones. Ice looked slow. Lots of lost edges.

Pregame won't be till 8:30.

So here's a thought. Since playing at 6000 ft.ASL in Denver has an adverse effect on low altitude teams like UND( 843 ft,ASL).Wouldn't playing in Grand Forks have a beneficial effect for DU with our comparitively oxygen rich environment?

Frattin had a good start with the Leafs at the beginning of his career, then suffered a knee injury and hasn't been the same since. After being traded to the Kings he logged regular playing time until being injured again. He had a decent year with the Marlies last year, dropped off this year.

There is an old saying "The wound will heal, but the scar still remains." A few on here have become a little over zealous with their "demand" that the "Sioux Only", "Hockey Only", "Sioux Forever" crowd ,or whatever other derogatory term you come up with, "adapt and accept" the new name, and that you're not a "true fan"if you don't. It may or may not happen. Continually sticking your finger in the wound isn't going to help the healing process. That a few dozen sweatshirts would send you off into a conspiracy tizzy is a little disconcerting. In other words, lighten up.
