During the Gopher series I thought the student section was great. Kind of like the old days. Being none of them had experienced that kind of game and atmosphere, I thought maybe they would want to continue it as they realized how fun it can be. Then came the Miami series. Pfffftt.... I blame it on cell phones.

Visited with a Gopher fan after this years series with them. We discussed the 0.6 game and the Union championship game. He related the euphoria of beating us on Thu. vs the realization on Sat. night that "We don't even belong here." I concurred, saying that game took allot of the sting away from the .6 as we would not have beat Union either. That year, Union was really good at hockey.
