Well hell, I didn't mean to start WWIII here. Thanks for the info on the Potulny sisters and their sidekick, Irmen. Seriously though, I just found it odd that such great hockey players from GF left to play elsewhere. It didn't make much sense to me.

Excuse the ignorance here.... But maybe you folks can help me out? How did the Sioux miss out on the Potulny brothers and Irmen. Did the Sioux not recruit these guys or did they choose the Gophers over UND? I've always wondered but never really knew the scoop.

I'm trying to check my local listings for the WCHA tourny to see if it will be on TV. Does anybody know when the games will be played roughly? I realize opponants aren't set yet.

Oshie has done very well for us. However, Kessel has simply been better this season and should win this one going away. On a side note, I work with some dyed in wool UW Badger fans. They were mortified when Kessel snubbed Bucky and went to play with his buddies in the Twin Cities. I enjoyed that greatly.

USCHO projects the Sioux as the 3rd seed in the West region. The split with DU, along with some other help, has us controlling our own destiny. SWEET!

Back in the day, that was the fancy-shmancy Mexican joint in town. They had great Chile Con Queso. Here's a blast from the past for some of you old timers.... Anybody remember Farmers Inn Mexican restaurant near Columbia Mall? They had some great stuffed sopapillas (spelling). They weren't open very long but they had it going on. And how can we we even begin to mention food without touting chippers?

Huh??? First of all, it's hockey and its a rough sport. Secondly, guys beat the living hell out of eachother with their sticks the entire game, most of which isn't called a penalty. Lastly, if there was ever a guy who deserved to get his nutsack smoked by a hockey stick, its Punkobitch.

Shangrila intruduced me to lemon chicken, they had an Asian guy working there then, he was a concert violinist and party animal. That place is owned and operated by John and Gam Wong. I love their food but heard that they are considering closing their doors. I hope not. That is the first place the wife and I stop when we get back to GF. Love it!! Back in the day, I may or may not have placed a few sporting bets with the Wong brothers....

Red Pepper at 1:00 am: Grinder w extra meat sauce, good Lord. Do they still have those red naugahide booths? The place hasn't changed a bit.... not one single bit. I think they even have that same crappy juke box setting next to the bathrooms too. Bruce Tillman owned it, but he passed away a few years back. Mikes Pizza: East Side right? Next to Whitey's? Great friggin' ribs and they delivered Yep. Used to be right on the other side of the bridge into EGF. They had pizza, chicken, ribs.... you name it. We used to order that up on Sundays to watch football.

Great win. We need this to slide into the big tourny. The kids are starting to produce and we can make a good run if we get there.
