It's rather nice to the two North Dakota institutions while the South Dakota institutions don't look particularly well. Have a peek and I hope you enjoy it. Jav fan, I don't think I would neccessarily consider it a slam dunk, but it's definetely a game that UND should win. I can't say that I'm schooled all that well on Jav football but I have a hard time guaranteeing a win over anybody.....unless of course we are playing the St. Mary's Girls School for the Blind or something. Some people are concerned with UND's offensive backfield situation, but I think the Sioux should be ok there. The O-Line is considerably smaller this year. We lost a WR that set numerous school records, that should appear to be a problem, but as long as Brady Treanbeth stays healthy and others fill in, the corps should be just fine. We have a new head coach running virtually the same system, that should make transitioning from Coach Lennon to Coach Mussman fairly easy for the players. Sorry you have to read through the constant pissing match with the school to the south to get my take. I'd be interested to see what you think of the Jav's chances next Thursday and tell me what I can expect to see after driving 10 hours from Wyoming to Grand Forks to see us transistion to DI! If Cal Poly loses one conference game and UND wins all of their conference games, then UND would be the champions of the Great West. It would be ideal if we played all conference teams but I guess it didn't work out that way. Too bad I guess.

I don't think they are referring to UND as pushovers, we haven't proven anything at an FCS level yet. I think this poll is fair. I certainly think the Sioux can win the conference but we have a lot to prove.

Congrats to you and yours Oxbow, just be smart with it. Growing up in the oil patch I've seen a fair share of people end up worse off than before. The petroleum industry has me in Wyoming now, I have a feeling, however, it won't be long before I'm back in ND!

I may be wrong on this, but I thought I remember hearing that two games would be televised on FSSN this season. I think they announced that when they announced the other broadcast details.

There have been talks in the past year about fightingsioux.com streaming The Fighting Sioux Coaches Show online, just like they do with the sports broadcasts. That would be nice.

Looks like the Grand Forks Herald has to cut at least 12 positions, so they are offering buyouts. Herald to offer voluntary buyouts My vote is for Ryan Baaken. If I have to read one more article about his stupid turqouise car, chaperoning school dances, or church dinners, I think I'll puke. His "articles" should actually be called "lists," that's all it seems he can do. Get rid of him and give Brad S. a raise, at least he does something worthwhile. Sorry for the rant. Just my thoughts.

You know what? I am sick and damn tired of seeing Sioux fans and Bison fans bark back and forth about stupid, meaningless crap like this! Good grief!! This is seriously something to be huffy about? We just landed on the schedule of Texas Tech! Good for us! There is no need for petty arguements between the two sides. NDSU had a great transition to DI.....great! Did they play different opponents in their transisition?? YEAH, THEY DID! Why worry about it? We have our own transition to worry about and NDSU fans have their first playoff-eligible season to worry about. Like it or not, these are two programs that are on different footings. That's the way it is. If NDSU wants to get paid to go to Minneapolis and beat the Gophers, that's their choice. If we want to cash in a payday to go to Texas Tech to play, that's our choice. I guess I just don't understand the bickering. It makes everyone look petty and small. GO SIOUX.

I like the looks of this schedule. I recently moved to Gillette, WY so I think I'll buzz down to CC for that series. I'll be able to catch at least one at the Ralph too! It's just not going to be like being at every home game last year.

I should add that I think that the Sioux on 740 in Fargo would be ideal. During the day, that station is a blowtorch and I've picked it up in Sundance, Wyoming, albeit a little fuzzy. That station is crystal clear all over the state and would be great for the Sioux.

Clear Channel retained the rights in mid-June. It's their option year. The broadcast team I believe will stay the same. The only change to the network is that 710 in Bismarck is now carrying Bi-son football because they are getting paid to. Hopfully that helps you out!

Maybe I missed it somewhere, and if so I apologize, but when do we see a schedule and when do tickets go on sale?? I can't wait.
