I agree with both your statements. No complaints here, best Sioux game I've seen since we treated Stauber and Woog to a 9-0 thrashing back in 88-89. Oh...and the Gophers came back and won the next night, 5-3 or so, if I recall. There's still sixty minutes of hockey left (maybe more) this weekend. I'm looking for sixty more like last night from the Sioux...and I doubt we'll see another sixty like that from the Gophers. Tonight is going to be a great game. Like the man said, "There's nothing better than a Saturday night in the WCHA." Especially when it's Sioux v. Goldy

I think the best payback for Stoa and his band of furry rodents would be to shove seven or eight pucks past Kangas tonight and take all 4 points from them on the weekend. THEN do it again in the Final Five on their "home ice". THEN do it again in the Western NCAA Regional. ;-)

While it was a dismal weekend in the W column, I note a couple of encouraging things. 1. This team was "clicking" over the past six games (before this weekend). 2. Trupp and Finley return and most lines are juggled. Changing the aforementioned "click". 3. Hakstol and Eades will figure out the chemistry again. The "click" will return. Will it be in time for the Goofs? We'll see.

Just fyi...with the PWR there really are NO meaningless games. Every W-L-T has an impact when it comes to tourney selection time. (Unless you are Wisconsin and are hosting a Regional).
