  1. Congratulations to the new Leaders! Have a great season!!
  2. Best of luck Ryan! Thanks for all the great memories over the years. We have loved watching you display your talents. Oh...and one other thing. Last year's Regionals in Madison when the Sioux were playing Princeton, there was a spot in the game where a Princeton player was laying on the ice, hurt. You had the puck, play continued, there might have been a chance to score "shorthanded", but instead you gently tucked the puck under the hurt player, stopping play. That's the classiest move I've ever seen in college hockey and Hobey Baker himself would have been proud. Take that class, and your great skills to the next level. You'll be a star no matter whose sweater you pull over your head.
  3. But....if we let the Beavers in the Gophers will NEVER win the DQ cup!!!
  4. Right on. Jones will be missed. His skates might not be as large as Finley's, but it'll take a real man to fill 'em. Blackouts optional.
  5. I think after the successes of guys like Kessel, Gionta, Towes, Oshie, etc., the Pro's are taking a longer look at college talent across the board. Even if they don't go straight to "The Show" the consideration of signing college players is on a significant upswing. I also think this is good for the game of college hockey. If players stay 4 years, great, and if they move on because they have a shot at a pro career, good for them. I think it makes the game that much more exciting to have future stars of the NHL skating in the college arenas on Friday and Saturday nights...even if they do skate for Michigan or BC. And, of course, the Sioux!
  6. Way to go, Andrew! Show 'em what you've got!
  7. Might just as well cheer for the Beavers to win it all!
  8. Certainly am going to miss those guys...every one. Thanks, all of you, for the great memories. And yes, best wishes in your every future endeavor.
  9. They were worn the second night at SCSU following a 3-0 shutout by the Huskies the night before. Sioux won the second game 4-2, I believe. ;-)
  10. If you want the title, you have to beat all the other great teams out there...if the Sioux have to beat BU to advance, then that's what they will need to do. But let's take care of New Hampshire first!! GO SIOUX!!
  11. Yogi never said half the things he said. :D
  12. The Sioux are very, very narrow "favorites" in that game. http://blog.siouxsports.com/2009/03/25/kra...the-tournament/ Though, like you, I see them as the dominant force in that region.
  13. Wonder if UMD will be looking past Miami? ;-) That should be a great game. GO DAWGS!!
  14. The ref's don't want to be there all night...
  15. Jubinville was a Hobey Candidate last year...and yes, he can move his feet.
  16. I do believe UMD is out shooting Princeton in this game. That is unusual for the Taigah's...AND the Bulldogs!
  17. Two things about that game. 1. Karl gives up a limp wristed goal to start things off. 2. The Sioux could not score 5x5. Close only counts in horseshoes, hand-grenades, atom bombs, and dancing.
  18. That was WAY too frequent a trend, you are correct.
  19. The goal that beat the Sioux was nothing but a championship-level goal. It wasn't about momentum, but about a player giving his all. (And a goalie missing a poke check).
  20. It's easy to not like the goofs for their style of play. But look at history...look at what DU has cost the Sioux over the years. Seriously...there are lots of reasons to begrudge the Pio's. And yet, yes, they are a good team, one to respect, and I DO have WCHA pride...but I'll gladly cheer for UMD to take this region rather than DU.
  21. Scotty remembers well. He learned from the Blaiser. Teams that win championships though are teams that can score 5x5. Let's see about the OT. GO Dawgs!!
