I recall an article that quoted Grant Shaft, back in the logo controversy of 1994-2011, where he mentioned that Notre Dame had "concerns with North Dakota's logo" and that was a sticking point with them considering the NCHC (presumably along with the TV contract discussions). Some postulated that the logo issue was the interlocking ND, and not the Sioux logo that was, by then, already listed as "to be retired". I'm not saying this was the reason Notre Dame went out East, just mentioning that I recalled the discussion. Perhaps the issue was over the Sioux logo..IIRC, Mr. Shaft did not elaborate in his statement at the time, merely saying "logo".

I recall a discussion regarding the UND logo. Notre Dame has issues with that. Not the former Sioux logo, but the UND one. Very similar to the ND logo. Could be a sticking point with coming to the NCHC.

Agreed, I feel a road sweep coming on. Thought I felt one when they traveled to Omaha...but this is crunch time. The Seniors will step up yet again, Zane bricks the corners down, and we come home with six hard earned, gritty road points. A couple of greasy goals won't hurt. It's time to get our D-men back on the scoreboard too. Some big bombs from the high slot would fill the bill. Also agree that I'd like a trip to Kalamazoo...looks like a good atmosphere (student section rowdy enough) and who doesn't want to say that they've been to Kalamazoo at least once?
