Seems like I say this about every other week, but...next goal is huge in this game.

We should be fresh in the 3rd, everybody has had plenty of rest in the box.

It's not unusual. First game of a series they let everything go until it gets out of hand and then they can't stop it, second game of the series they call it so tight that it's a constant powerplay.

I know, I couldn't resist. I was feeling pretty good at the 5:00 mark after going up 2-1, thought we had weathered the storm and would go in no worse than tied. Man did that go to hell.

Hit him twice actually, once in the first with a slash across the knees after Blood legally destroyed him with a check, and then the hit at the end. I would not be surprised if Blood really clocks him if circumstances are right tonight, he better keep his head up.

And that would be long overdue, how someone hasn't ended up with a broken neck the last couple years is miraculous.

Don't know if you heard but your twitter question was the "Question of the Week" or whatever they called it, I just caught a piece of it but it sounded like playing playoff games on campus maybe? They talked about it between periods for about 5 minutes.

I turned it there after the Sioux game but it's hard to watch the 2 most hated teams for me, and then having to hope the Gophers win on top of it? Turned it off.

Not to defend Helgeson, but playing at Denver does have a way of pissing people off.

I didn't really think Basaraba had that in mind when it happened, it looked like Mattson was kind of stumbling and he was going for the check and it ended up being a headfirst into 'Wehrs corner', I doubt if anything more will come of it. Brown on the other hand just lined up a free shot with 45 seconds left...game was basically over...he was still mad about Blood creaming him (legally) in the first (although he did get revenge with a slash across the knees 3 seconds later which no refs saw)...his hit was basically a free cheap shot with nothing to lose but I would be surprised if anything comes of that either.

Sioux played a very disciplined game, controlled the puck and played good defense. Hopefully Mattson will be OK for tomorrow, he kind of scorpioned into the boards but I think it looked worse than it was, we can't afford to lose anybody else right now that's for sure. Sandelin can't be too happy about his teams effort, 2 goals given up on bad giveaways and another on a wraparound with the defense standing around watching, I've got a feeling they'll come to play tomorrow. Needed a split out of here, now let's be greedy and get them both.
