I'll go with number 1. As far as the last statement I think the only game they mailed it in was the Sat game against DU. Fri night against DU they outplayed DU convincingly but lost real late. Last weekend they had some issues with the refs and video replays of goals.

One thing I don't like about this weekend is how many people are thinking that our winning the Cup is a forgone conclusion and counting the Badgers out. I can see the Badgers being a very dangerous team this weekend as they are a wounded animal.

I thought it was more of the NCAA not wanting a potential top seed overall like BU facing a host team on its home ice(i.e BU having to face the gophers at Marriucci). I don't think the Yard is Yale's home ice.

I would think the adreniline(sp) rush of being able to play for a championship will overcome this. also I think the affect of the alaska trip was probably felt the first half of Sat's game. as since then we looked pretty good when we got our legs back.
