MTU- they couldn't do anything in the second. the sioux are playing very disciplined and good as a team.

there was hand-wringing, tearing of clothes, gnashing teeth. yes the day t.j. oshie was arrested for disorderly conduct was a dark day in the history of America. but somehow, through the darkness, a group of posters on a message board stood up for righteousness and denounced this rogue, oshie. and from that day on, no UND hockey player EVER did anything wrong again.

and on Saturday, hopefully it'll be Return of The Oshie

use your imagination people. maybe sometimes hes got the facts mostly right, so he wouldn't be 100% correct. but he's usually 100% correct. its not that confusing to me. it looks like triouxper isnt the only contrarian on this board.

somebody said he was in a place where he shouldn't be? he shouldn't be in the elevator at his place of residence? ok we have no idea what happened but already everybody wants to harp on t.j. i've dealt with a lot of small town cops that have nothing better to do than write some bogus ticket cuz they can. i don't care if its his second offense, it still sounds like a very minor offense. i know this is a discussion board and everybody is entitled to their opinion, but i just think there are a lot of old timers that can't remember what life is like at 21.

i agree 94%, i wouldn't say that they "can't" perform, though. you can't overlook the times when the sioux dominated play. this game was lost in what 4 minutes. i think the boys (or a few of them) need to work on defensive zone play.

OEKTB, its really easy to say that a team can't win a national championship. because very few teams win it each year, specifically one team. most of us know a lot about hockey and we see flashes of brilliance where no team in the country can stop us. as a sioux fan, my hope is that the team continues to get better and better. learning each weekend what needs to be improved. i dont think thats delusional i could go on, but im tired.

fwiw, the sioux have wins against 10 out of the top 25 Pairwise ranked teams.

my rationalization for the loss: long layoff caught up with them, uncharacteristic mistakes, and just being tired or something. the biggest one is the mistakes. they didnt clear the puck and people out of the front of the net on some plays. or didn't play the body and let a guy walk around them, on one goal.

somebody better start the "the sky is falling" thread. come on people, dont jump. i still say the sioux are looking great. few things to work on. but a good group overall.

how many times have the sioux defense tried to clear a puck in front of the sioux net only to put it right on the tape of a UNH player crashing in. put it in the corner or hold onto it even.

new hampshire skating uphill in the last 5 minutes. sioux defense have been easily stopping the wildcats attempts to enter the sioux zone. two very close calls in front of UNH net
