I didnt see the play, but I hate it when refs call coincidentals when only one guy is doing something.

i've seen a few too many defensive breakdowns in front of our net so far tonight. i expect hak will fix that during the intermission. sometimes the sioux have been gettin a little cutesy, and in the defensive zone no less.

i didnt misunderstand. i'm not dumb, i know what you were suggesting. its a debate about semantics. i dont care if he meant for trupp to tip it in, i still call that a shot. most players don't pass the puck at somebody with a snapshot (which is what i would call it, i think he lifted his stick a bit) at knee level. and you don't have to be condescending .....i.e. "clear enough"

i don't think anything i said was untrue, lapointe shot it, deliberate or not, and it was going wide, trupp tipped it in.

the sioux have been dominating since i turned the tv on at about 10 minutes of the 1st. trupp tips a shot from lapointe that was going wide.

those guys are all creator, getter, shooters . that makes 9 possible combos right??

I didn't explain myself very well. I meant that making a new thread with a big exclamation point would probably lead to a lot of gloating. I wasn't saying that discussing it was spiteful, I was just pointing out that theres already a discussion on going about this topic in the other thread. and its a nice thoughtful discussion, btw. and in retrospect i was overreacting. happy festivus and chrismahanukwanzakuh!!

so right. its maddening to think of all the crap that duncs and oshie and probab VV , and every other elite player has to go through. i guess it's their fault for trying to make the college game better and get an education. and what's so hard about calling the game according to the rules. if a guy's not moving his skates and he puts his stick around a guy's body...penalty. if you impede a player without the puck it's interference. wrap yourself around an opposing player with your arm or stick and you're not moving your feet....your're in the box. and then there's all the little slashes and cross checks to the back that don't get called. teams will stop doing it after one game if they're killing penalties all night long.

dude, happy is from minnesota. the state of hockey. ... if it were up to him the game would be a lot purer like if redirects were just done away with all together, and if your team loses posession of the puck you should be penalized.

chill out people. its hard to play from behind. all the gophers have to do is disrupt from here on out, unless the sioux score a couple goals. thers still half the game left.

when they say a kicking motion, they're talking about a pendulum motion with your foot. so I think the call was right. you could tell that the refs were explaining something to the protesting gopher captain.
