  1. Michigan, it's official. Don Lucia HAS TO BE blackmailing you with nekkie-nekkie pics of Red Berenson and Jim Harbaugh in a hot tub. Inexplicable.
  2. Speaking of "close to home," a GPL'er suggested that EGF is pretty much 50/50 in terms of support for UND and Minnesota. Truth or fiction?
  3. I thought about that as well...almost resigned to the fact that you're going to lose with less than 40 seconds left...only to get that hope restored for a few more minutes. Hermantown blew that 2 on 1 in OT too...this one's gonna sting. Remind anyone else of the 2001 NCAA final?
  4. This has got to be the most excruciating one yet.
  5. Sprinkles are for winners, Shawn-O!
  6. LOL, nice "gangsta" video-bomb there. You go, Vanilla Ice of EGF HIgh!
  7. I was sympathetic when he was playing STA and were totally jobbed by the officials.
  8. You didn't catch the 'no reason to move up because there would be some years the team wouldn't be competitive enough to make state' comments? Coach, most schools could only DREAM of going to state six straight times, never mind making the championship game six straight times.
  9. That's standard after every loss - there was some angst directed at OD and Mark Mac too. Pretty funny after the group hug-fest of late.
  10. Bruce Plante has really turned himself into a not-so-sympathetic figure.
  11. Back on topic, just how bad IS this pinkie toe injury?
  12. Just for kicks, I went back and read the Friday Bemidji game thread. How far we've come since then...
  13. Stole it from Urban Dictionary, Goon? Nope. I can thank my freshman English teacher, Mrs. Anderson (rest in peace) for that one.
  14. http://www.uscho.com/2015/03/05/minnesota-state-womens-coach-means-resigning-at-end-of-may/ Minnesota State is looking for a new coach...Eric Means has resigned effective at the end of May. A 48-161-16 record in six seasons at the helm. Cue the phone call from Dayton's office to Minnesota State asking for an explanation. Oh, wait, Eric's a man. Never mind.
  15. COULDN'T CARE LESS!
  16. I wish I could be that calm during a playoff game. I look like Tommy Boy giving a sales pitch on brake pads.
  17. Honestly, I couldn't care less which one is used... (See what I did there?)
  18. Union College won't go down without a fight - the Dutchmen upset Cornell last night in game 1 of their ECAC playoff series.
  19. Couldn't care less... Sheesh, 90siouxfan, a little worked up this am over players raising their sticks in the air, aren't we?
  20. Commonly used, yes. Technically correct? No. Much different than "could care less," which is flat-out not what the speaker or writer is trying to say.
  21. Well, it's a little known-fact that the word "irregardless" comes from Greek mythology and their god "Regard." While the word was commonly used by the literary hockey sanskrit writer Goonolopopomous, it is viewed today as being wrong. "Regardless" would be correct.
  22. In my defense, I'm pretty much running on no sleep...musta missed that at 5:14am but saw it the second time thru.
  23. Sigh...here's your daily reminder that it is "couldn't" or "could not" care less. Saying you "could care less" implies that you care, even if only a little. In regards to the play in question, I still have yet to hear anyone agree with TH that the ONLY penalty called at the end of the 2nd should have gone to Miami. LJ wrapped his arm around the guy's neck and pushed him into the boards. Sorry, homers, that's what set off the skirmish and should have given Miami a PP to start the 3rd. How TH saw anything close to a North Dakota PP coming out of that, I have no idea.
