If you recruit top-end talent each year, you can expect to not see them for two weeks every season around Christmas. That's just the way it is.

I wouldn't fault Brock Boeser at all for sitting out until he's healthy AND playing World Juniors if he is 100%. You only get so many chances to win a gold medal for your country. Regardless of what WE think his priority should be as a player, the World Junior Tournament is a once-or-twice in a lifetime opportunity for those who are lucky enough to be selected.
