  1. I should have remembered that as the Broadmoor is in Colorado Springs...duh.
  2. Hi, Siouxfanatic, I'm 2013. Have we met?
  3. That being said, how good is it for college hockey to have Northern Michigan battling it out with Michigan Tech for the Broadmoor Trophy and an NCAA tournament berth on the line? The UP will be rockin' next weekend!
  4. Actually, they'd still be meaningful...but for teams not named North Dakota.
  5. The question has been answered...no.
  6. Does a poster get an orange banner for a -5 ranking on the like-o-meter board or is that only reserved for a +5?
  7. It's a little hard to tell if he used a distinct kicking motion or not...
  8. That's not correct...although, ironically enough, it meant "corrected." Исправление в
  9. I'm not defending UND's record at all here...the system is a bit flawed, IMO, when one of the two .500 teams essentially has a 3-week vacation after losing four in a row to Penn State. Sure, if they were 28-10, but 19-17? My OCD-o-meter just went off too. The plural of tie isn't tying, is it?
  10. Just saying that the Pairwise isn't a perfect science. 1 more loss instead of a win and we're looking at a .500 team. THAT'S good enough to be among the top 12-13 teams in the country at the moment? Really?
  11. And what are those respective current Pairwise rankings, please?
  12. You forgot Army. Plenty of emphasis on "quality losses" and that one win against St Cloud State.
  13. That's my point with having CC and Miami there.
  14. I'd rather take my chances with CC and Miami in the field of four, thank you very much.
  15. It's a good thing the Pairwise takes into account those early October games to even things out for Titanic-like sinkings for some teams at the finish line... #19-18-2
  16. Stunning to believe that at 19-17-2 and having their regular season end LAST weekend, Minnesota's almost a lock to make the tournament...
  17. BTW, we welcome fans from other teams to attend. @Pump It Up ... I'm talking to you! Gopher fans have attended in the past and survived - they even had a pretty good time! @Greyeagle...c'mon back!
  18. If you haven't been to the Hogg get-together before, it's time to go! The owner grew up about 40 miles from Grand Forks and still has family in GF. They have great breakfast and lunch specials and always treat us right. Lots of fun putting some faces to the monikers on the board and we have a great time with introductions and sharing stories about our own Sioux hockey memories and road trips. As usual, I'll have some goodies there -- and some things you might possibly have a chance to go back home with. Sorry, no bean bag boards this year -- that was an all-time-best raffle (son of @sprig won that for about $10-$20 a few years back). North on 35E out of St Paul to Highway 36 west, take the first exit at Rice Street and go north about a mile -- it's on the right-hand side. Add your name to the list this year and I promise so much fun that you'll be back next year!
  19. All the more reason to leave the craziness behind and head to the Hogg!
  20. SIXTY FIVE BUCKS? The NCHC never misses an opportunity to generate revenue! if I wanna blow $65 lightning-fast, I'll just grab a hot dog and a Coke while at the X!
  21. Schlossman on the Herald tomorrow morning: "Fighting Hawks men's hockey team advances to Frozen Faceoff...women's program not reinstated yet."
