I like the idea of SuperSonics, as a nod to the Aerospace department. It's definitely unique, and not being used anymore by any major sports teams.

Stecher has become my favorite player on this team. I love how he plays the game. If anybody wants to see a prime example of what he brings to this team, watch his shift about 30 seconds before the Parks goal in the first period on Friday night, where he takes away the puck in the D-zone and joins the rush. It's almost a shame that nothing shows up on the stat sheet for his effort that helped lead to that goal. Excited to watch him in a Sioux jersey for 2.5 more years.

I think we could see Boston U at #1, as they were #3 last week and didn't lose this weekend (despite only playing one game). I would expect Tech to be #2, with UND dropping to #3 off the split this weekend. UMTC should drop to #4, but a surprising number of voters will still give them first-place votes, even though they are 3-3 in their last 6 games.

Not sure if it's confirmed or just speculation, but Dave mentioned in his preview that neither LaDue or MacMillan would be playing this weekend.

My thoughts from my view at Kohl Center: St. Clair was a beast out there! He should be on the ice every game. Poganski had a great game. He seems to get better every week. Very nice to see the Sioux controlling the puck for long stretches on the power play. My personal opinion - I'm more comfortable with Mattson on the ice over Thompson right now. Keaton seemed to struggle a bit last night at times. Great atmosphere in the arena, even thought it was only about 2/3 full. I expected one close score and one blowout this weekend. Looking forward to the blowout tonight.

I was there about 4 years ago. Nothing close to UMTC fans. You'll have some fans chirping, but pretty tolerable.

Yeah, Wisconsin sure doesn't follow their hockey program like they do football and basketball.

Does anybody know where the UND allotment is for tickets at the Kohl Center for the Wisconsin series? Already have tickets for both nights, but I'm just curious if anybody purchased through UND.

Michigan travels to Michigan Tech this weekend for the first time since 1983. Haven't found it on TV anywhere yet. Would be a good one to watch Friday night. Might have to find a webcast.

The seating chart on the Tickets 300 website shows that the North SRO section is for students. Did UND get that allotment for students?

I would have thought they'd at least hold back 500 tickets for the public sale. In hindsight, they couldn't have had 100 available.

I actually won about 10 years ago, but my share was only about $1,400 at the time (not that I was complaining!)

This formula seemed to work pretty well for Union last year too.

Maybe not the best game, but Gwoz walking across the ice was one of the more memorable games for me.
