This has gotten off on a tangent.....it is just my opinion on Ward as a player at UND. Not including a pro career after. Not a high draft pick with uber talent that could not stay healthy enough to make a true impact at UND when it mattered. I'm glad he'll be recognized with a final skate.

Bubba's team are historically bad on the road. First game outside of ND in 8 weeks. Don't even care about the spread....just want the money line.

Agree. If UND can run for 200+ they win. If not and have to try to throw for 200+ they got no shot.

I also heard Gronowski got a 7 figure offer to leave SDSU after last season. Not sure who he got his advice from but at his age to decline that money was well.....flatout stupid. He looked slightly better Saturday night than the QBs at the Alerus that afternoon. He needed to grab that bag after last season plain and simple.

Is it just me or has the overall QB play at the FCS level completely fallen off a cliff in the past few years? Credit to Miller as he made some great throws when needed but Gronowski was awful.....and he looked like Dan Marino compared to what I saw on both sides at the Alerus yesterday.

To your first point.....they don't. Not to the standard of a high end "FIFA certified" quality pitch ( soccer lingo) as some here are selling it. The fairways at Ray Richards are more playable and my neighbor mows his grass but still looks like an unattended vacant lot 90% of the time. To your 2nd point.....absolutely have no doubt that's a big part of it. Probably the biggest reason for the complaints.

Wanting grass vs what players prefer to play on are two different things. It's not complicated. UND doesn't have the resources to properly maintain a quality grass field. The least desired field to play on in the Summit is at UND. Least desired in the NSIC is MSUM. Both....grass.

UND has 255 yards at half without the ability to throw the ball beyond 10 yards minus the TD to Bo. Crazy to see.
