I used to live in Williston. Played pick up at rec center. Was told one day to guard "that kid"...was Hunter. To say the least I was ineffective...

My dad grew up in Glen Ullin and has stories of Ft. Yates and their 25 year old HS players! Similar to UND's 30 year old hockey players. He said rumors had it some of them playing for Ft. Yates and across the border in SD during the same BB seasons back in the day. He said the gym would be packed when Yates came to town as home town fans would even cheer for Yates just to see the 2 digit scoreboard go back to "00" when they hit a 100 points!

Ft. Totten lit up Warwick last night. Think I read Ft. Totten scored 90+.

And now back to our regular scheduled programming..."Fire Muss!!!"

A few of us from CHS would hook up with the Glen Ullin kids in the late spring and summer of that year and play some random tournaments. How they got beat is beyond me. Doug Gerving was a stud!

The only one you are missing...Carrington. We took care of Oak Grove and Langdon after that.

Ok...but when do we "get there"? I don't think some of these players came back this season to not have the D "get there" by now. A wasted season no one wants!

We had lots of Gary Cederstrom and Rask...Jeff I believe. There is a reason one of them is in the big time, Gary umps in MLB, and one isn't.

Goph's new assistant and D coach seemed to turn that D-man core around pretty quick.

"Come around" and "in the end"...care to elaborate on your suspected time frame? We are 2/3rds thru the regular season. Not to be greedy but I was expecting it to "come around" quite awhile ago.

St. Clair destroyed a Clown on Saturday in the corner in the context of the play and game. Mac has a history of trying to make big hits just to make a big hit. If it's in the flow of the game those get overlooked more than just trying to find a hit for the sake of making a big hit.

Chyzyk is a way better offensive and 2 way player IMO. He should be in the lineup most nights. He has size, can skate and has some grit to him.

Fair enough but whatever the system Berry is coaching isn't working with these Dman...it's pretty obvious.

Pattyn was looking for a partner to drop em with. Problem is no Clown bit. Looked premeditated as it was his 1st shift and he was yapping as he left the bench. Put UND is a tough spot right off the bat.
