Local Fox News TV just did a piece on nickname and the Fr. female student they interviewed said she voted FH because it keep "Fighting" in the name. An adjective...... a F'Hawkin' adjective was her reason!!! And don't think she was the only one to vote like that.

Best summation so far. I'll even throw out the word disgraceful....the new nickname, the entire process and Kelley himself.

For once I don't even know what to say...."I'm speechless! I'm without speech!"

If things shake out like I think they will and FH is named the new nickname it will be a day I'll be embarrassed to be an alumni...................I'll get over it but Fighting Hawks. Really!

This process has set back the credibility of this university back a couple years at a minimum to the casual observer.

17 states have now said "not here" to Syrian refugees but MN has said "we'll take em". The U of M doesn't want to offend anyone by recognizing 9/11 but being a state that has produced more home grown terrorists than almost any other state says it say "welcome here". Makes sense to me.........

I saw Cal Poly beat the Griz in Missoula. Solid FB team in all 3 phases. They are fast on defense. Obviously they can run the ball. I do like the match up for UND though. I'd take UND by 2 scores at home.........on the road it's a coin flip.

I'd be really surprised if UND wins Saturday and doesn't get an at-large bid.
