I was at the game......zero contact. Replay showed zero contact. TH and crew on post game radio all said zero contact. Believe what you want but it was total embellishment.

Don't recall at the Ralph ever seeing such a sh*t show in officiating in the final 3 minutes of a game from taking away a goal to then putting that same team down 2 men. I'm never suprised anymore with the NCHC officiating. It is consistently inconsistent.

From a spectator standpoint last night's game was a 180 in entertainment value compared to last weekend's clutch/grab/interference fest vs. Union.

Last 6 games Smith is +6. Next guy is+ 3 in same stretch. But Smith has twice as many penalty minutes in those 6 games as the next guy. The 4th line has been really good when he isn't in the box.

If we can factor in a certain win vs. Montana in a game that isn't actually played like some here suggest for 2016.................................I say he stays.

IMO no playoffs in 2018 or 2019 Bubba goes..........or another sub .500 record in either year he goes and UND needs to start fresh heading into the MVC. What if UND makes the playoffs next year and doesn't make it past round 2 but gets beat like a drum by NDSU like last time and doesn't make the playoffs in 2019? Bubba goes or stays?

Will UND get an occasional season in the MVC where they get a favorable schedule like 2016.....nope. Starting in 2020 the climb to a conference title gets steeper. UND will win the MVC at some point I just don't think it will be in year 3, like being co-champs of the BSC, or earlier.

Will have to wait and see but what I do know is UND will be playing all 3 Dakota schools every year starting in 2020. That's a tough draw year in and year out. Playing NDSU in 2019 will be a decent barometer as to where this program is as it heads into the MVC the following season.

Lots and lots of work to do at those positions before UND will be competitive in the MVC trying to play that style of FB. You have a little more slack at those positions in the BSC due to weaker defenses and the more pass happy offenses.

So you are counting the win against Montana? (should we have actually played them in 2016) I know many on this site marked that one down as a win. I'm joking......relax everyone.
