UND @ Minnesota -- The Rivalry, with all the trimmings
Oxbow6 replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
At worst the atmosphere both nights will feel like a neutral site game......at best a home game for UND. UND win tonight and tie tomorrow. -
Agree....Kett is not nimble but that play you described worked very well. ......and the more of Skonka the better
-
Uffffffff.......not good.

Fair enough.....my apologies. We don't need to get into dick measuring of bonifides, credentials.......or W-2s.

It's been beaten to death. Anyone who can navigate Google could have found out what Nicholls bid last year will minimum effort. Even if finding just that info through one's due diligence it should conclude that if your bid is serious it HAS to be more than $80K + because there is the possibility that UND might get Nicholls as a playoff draw and they aren't going to bid less this year......even if you know nothing else! Goodness.

I agree. A solid running game will help him out tremendously and so will play calling. His completion % has to be 40% lower when he rolls out to either side. If his feet aren't set it's not good. It is night and day when he is able sets his feet and deliver the ball.

Chaves and the UND athletic department were banking on if UND FB made the playoffs they'd get a regional game and their bid was a winner...……...oops.

We have a good bingo...……...

So no one in the UND athletic department has access to the internet? It has been documented that Nicholls St bid $80K so they could host a playoff game last year. That is at a minimum was potential bar for bid for Chaves to look at. Now did he think we'd be bidding against Nicholls this year? Most likely not but there was a chance and Nicholls precedent was set last year. They were definitely not going to bid less than $80K this year. I agree with whoever posted that the UND athletic department was pretty sure they were going to get a regional playoff game and that thought process made their bid sufficient...….unfortunately they presumed incorrectly.

UND had just 42 rushing in the first half vs SUU. The game turned in the 2nd half when UND figured out how to run it more effectively. If UND can't run the ball consistently Saturday it won't turn out well.

Well someone is out $3.75 so there's that!

Line still is a pick 'em. Surprised the needle has not moved at all yet in either direction.

That crap needs to end. Many on this site are on speed dial from the Alumni Association Foundation and other entities at UND that are looking for dollars. One's fandom or allegiance to UND athletics is not based on what he/she gives and I'd be willing to bet most of the apathetic lemming posters here give nothing.

We know what the UND's bid was. One could have Googled, Chaves included, to find out what a bid was last year that secured hosting a playoff game.
