He's no Lapoint, right Chuck!?
-
What are the odds we have a Forney siting vs BSU?
-
Totally agree. On that 4th line, he is the one that can set things up. His hockey sense/IQ is very good and as he has become more comfortable, his skills are starting to surface. Was talking to my buddy, who goes to a lot of games, last night and we both agreed he and Watkins are two very overlooked players as far as what they bring to this team.

This series has the potential to be one of those trap series. UND coming off of a big WCHA sweep and now playing at home a team they should throttle. Hak is back and I wouldn't expect this team to overlook this series coming up.

Would like to comment on the goalies. Mannino is constantly being heralded as one of the top goalies in the WCHA and nation. He looked horrible this weekend. Rebounds left and right and saved by the pipes on at least 4-5 occasions this weekend. JPL though is thought by many to be a good goalie in the WCHA even with his nation leading stats. I understand that JPL wasn't great this weekend, but for once can he get the credit he deserves! DU is going into their 2nd half tank job and some of that has to do with Mannino. UND is on an amazing unbeaten streak and JPL has a lot to do with that.

"Get your guys to take off the skirts!"

I'd be shocked if Zajac didn't play. He has been good on draws and on the PK.
-
Zajac plays for who?? Miller or Radke. Thought Martens looked real good and Miller had some decent moments. I like Radke out there if he isn't taking penalties, which he hasn't been lately.
-
I'll take the over on the 8 before Jones lights the lamp!
-
JPL will have a stronger game as will the D-man tonight. Mann-sievo won't get saved by the pipes as he did last night on a couple of occasions. Lower scoring game. But Sioux sweep winning by at least 2 goals tonight.

Someone said in a post earlier that Lapoint was a liablity last night. The point I was trying to make was that is a stretch but as I stated earlier he looked lost at times and was not solid in his overall play. I think Marto has as much upside and deserves to play as much as Lapoint...that's it. Thanks for your 2 cents though.
-
No specific explanation is needed if you watched the whole game. Was at the game and I would say Lapoint was less than solid. He wasn't a liability but I would expect to see Marto tonight. Don't think Lapoint stood out enough to play tonight especially after how well Marto played vs. Minny. Marto skates better and might be a better option vs. DU who transitions so well.

Best game at the Ralph in awhile! Exciting! Great win! Not everything goes as planned but a win is a win especially from 3 down. Lammy was off--couple weak ones and lots of rebounds. D-man (minus Chay) weren't worth a bag of range balls. Lapoint and Bina looked lost. Chorney and Finley not much better. Jones had his momnets as well. Top line was very good. 4th line I thought gave great minutes all night to keep legs fresh in the 3rd. Martens was very solid and Miller had some good shifts as well. Very big win from a character standpoint. This team wouldn't have won that game pre-Christmas break. I know Oshie didn't score a goal, but in our offensive end, that kid is SICK with the puck on his stick!! Can't wait to get back up to the Ralph again tonight.
-
Agree with you completely. Pandering to is all they know though!!
-
And I would say that is marginal. Just not real aggressive and looks like a misfit when paired on the same line as Oshie. At least Kozek will get after it!!
-
My thoughts to your post. Is Chorney our best D--Yes. But doesnt play like it every night. Bina has looked lost at times since Christmas. Genoway is the real deal! Lapoint and Marto have been pleasant suprises for Frosh. Jones and Finley have been playing better each night out.
-
Thanks. Didn't want to infringe on your initial post!

Happened to see the interview with JPL on TV local sports segement last night and he commented on how they want to get 2 wins for Hak in his absence. I sensed a "Win one for the Gipper" mentality from JPL. Extra motivation??
-
Instead of Marto I assume? Marto was more than solid vs. the Gophs. He is a better skater than Lapoint, but on our NHL rink I'm excited to see Lapoint on Friday as well, but Marto is no slouch!!
-
Nice recap of the Coach's Show by PCM elsewhere. Talked about getting more pucks on net while on the PP. Having Oshie shoot the puck more. JPL being rock solid. Lapoint probably playing Fri. And that Miller practiced with Osh and Dunc today althought Hak said not to read too much into that. Talked about keeping intensity up. Nice work by PMC. Sounds like the boys are going to be ready to go!!

And McFooly is trying to be the Barreiro of the north except without credibility, witt, logic, ... And I live in Fargo!
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but when we scored on Sat. in Denver all 3 goals were special team goals: 1SH and 2 PP? We will need to get a couple 5 on 5 goals this weekend as well as a couple PP goals to sweep.

Those are my thoughts every time I read a new article on Britney Spears
