  2. Still looking to trade 4 Friday tickets (GREAT seats!) for Sat., Nov. 1 seats. I would gladly buy you a beer or some dip and dots if we can work it out. Or if I could BUY ANY Nov. 1 tickets, that would be great too. Thanks.
  3. I should have said four great lower bowl seats. I have Friday, Oct. 31, want to trade for Sat, Nov. 1
  4. Have Friday tickets to trade for Sat.
  5. I am looking for Saturday Wisconsin tickets. Any out there for sale?
  6. I look forward to the days ahead when football is a tough ticket to get. And I'll be willing to shell out the $$$ needed. But during the transition, someone-(marketing department, ticket manager, I dont' know...) needs to work at selling out the Al. First, they should make tickets hassle free to get. Last week, I couldn't get to the Al between 10 and 4, and I refuse to pay Ticketmaster over half of the price of a ticket in order to buy a ticket ($8.50 on a $15.50 ticket.) So we got them at the game. But how about some promotions? Have they had $10 Tuesdays like they used to? Or specials for families or something.
  7. 2 "Silver Circle" reserved lawn seats for sale. Great line up, great seats. Face value of course, and I'll absorb the ticketing and handling fees. pm for more info.

    Joe Finley

How about insist that his defensemen play defense first when Gerbe was on the ice, rather than let Chay take the chances he was able to get away with all year, but not this day.
  9. Add my family to those in the "Sioux family" who are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. We feel like we know Will from your posts and the adorable pictures of him you've shared.
  10. Bad start, great finish for Marc Andre Fleury http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVKlRnHkkN8
  11. You might want to try Scheel's. I've had some luck there in the past.
  12. With all due respect, let's try not to suggest still more money-making ideas to the Ralph. The number one issue in my mind is they HAVE to have someone making public address/music decisions who knows hockey. How many times did they do a commercial or promotional plug, then start some kind of music right before the puck dropped so it never had a chance to get going. Or they play a "short" tune of some kind during what turns to be a long TV timeout, and tried to play a longer song (such as "The Good Old Hockey Game" during a short stoppage with no time out. I don't mean to nitpick...I'm sure it's tricky. But it's like they have no "feel" for the game.
  13. [but In a nut shell I concluded that the person who decides what tunes to play and when and whether or not to play a tune or do an ad has absoutly no consideration for the enegy in the game. This is a huge detriment to perpetuating energy and enthusiasm One example that stickes in my mind; In the second period, I'm thinking it was 0-0, and the Sioux hadn't been doing much to give the crowd a reason to cheer. I think it was Osh that made a couple of nice moves and got a good shot off. The save was made and of course the wistle blew. The crowd woke up and was getting kind of pumped. Sweeney was all excited- ya all know how he gets. Then right away you hear the PA doing some informatinal spew about some upcoming event or some other stupid thing. and the place goes quiet in an instant. This is just one example. Anyone who has a home game saved should check this out for themself, tell me if I'm off the mark here. And when they did play a song that had interactive potential they played it at a time when nothing was going on AND they couldn't play it long enough to have an effect. "We Will Rock You" has no effect on crowd energy when you play 4.5 seconds of it. So wait to play it after a good dominating series of plays and there is engough of a stopage in play. Here is my suggestion to the management at the Ralph. Hire someone who has a degree in psychology or someone with an advertising background. .. Better yet...hire someone who actually "gets" hockey...the ebb and flow of the game . Your observations/comments are right on.
  14. Suggestions for the Ralph: Where to start? 1. Less talking. I realize they're trying to make money, but geez, shutup already. Just when the crowd is responding to good play or getting excited about something going on in the hockey GAME, we have blah, blah, blah instead. 2. The worst has got to be the makeover ad/promotion. Please, make it go away. 3. More band, less "canned" music. This is college, not the NHL. 4. Make programs available at each entrance. 5. A new laser show. 6. Why can't they do the laser show Fri. and Sat.? There are still "newbies" at the Ralph every Friday. It would be nice if they could see it. 7. More/different food options. 8. Definitely, have the crowd sing the national anthem. It would be a wonderful tradition to have 10,000 plus belting it out. 9. It would be nice if there were songs/chants/cheers that everyone could know and participate in. Probably led by the band, similar to Wisconsin, Michigan Tech, etc. 10. I'll keep thinking...
  15. I'm sure there are variables-what day, what time, where, etc. We had friends who paid $100 each to get in on Thur. That was upper bowl. For the championship game, I know someone who sold theirs for $100 each, but the people I saw selling were face value or less right before game time.
  16. The sun still came up this morning...may as well make the best of the rest of our trip. What are all of the Sioux fans who are "stuck" in Denver doing for fun? Tours? Sing Sing? other ideas?
  17. It's obvious BC has UND figured out....they had a great game plan and executed it. What was UND's game plan? Hard to tell, since we were out of it so early. Would a time out after the second (or third) goal have helped? A goalie change? Almost worked for Miichigan...
  18. Welcome! Glad to hear you can watch the games after all. Thanks for your service.
  19. Flew in last night. Plane was overbooked, but volunteers took "bumps", so got in the air and landed on time. Rain last night, snow this morning. Not many folks walking around downtown. We've seen BC and Michigan fans, no Notre Dame fan sightings yet. Fun to see others too-Wisconsin, Minnesota (kind of), UNH, UMD, etc. Most fan sightings-Sioux, of course! We'll be heading to Brooklyn's early-it's going to be packed!!!!
  20. I don't even know you, but this is what I think you should do: Leave the cities after school on Wed. Ride with the pair from SiouxSports.com who are looking for riders. (Meet in Fargo. My guess is you could even find a Fargo driveway to park in via SS.com) There are lots of options for hotel rooms. You WILL find tickets. Just go.
