  1. There's still time to adjust your roster, no?

I picked Ruegsegger over Trotter this week...and now I'm glad that I did. However, I do hope that Brock and his family (if involved) are ok; and that he makes it back to the ice soon.

I'm not sure if you can change at all but the deadline to submit is like noon thursday I think.

I was leaning Ruegsegger, but stayed with Trotter and went Kilpatrick/VV over Rau/Oshie.

  2. Everyone raises there hand when they hear the Player they want to vote for.

 Okay, I have no idea. They didn't do that when I lived in the Forks.

    HAHAHA.

    I was reading and I'm thinking.....REALLY?? LOL

Never done it when I've been at a game either.

    Thought maybe by applause

  3. VV's in your fantasy? :silly::)

Yeah, Oshie usually held the UND spot, but I'm in like 25th with time running out so I have to start taking some risks on unowned guys to aim for 16th.

If Oshie scores for me, he scores for 75% of the league. :D

  4. This response isn't directed specifically at you. I quote you but it is the latest entry referencing the situation.

What you say is true .... except in the case of UAA. UAA contributes positive revenue to each and every opponent that comes to play in their barn. The NCAA grants "exemptions" to the schedule of each opponent that schedules a team from Alaska or Hawaii in those locations. This exemption allows the opponent to schedule an additional home game for each exemption they earn. That additional home game varies in worth. How much does UND get for putting an additonal 10K people from a home game? $50K? More?

Also in UAA's case; for the first 10 years of membership in the league UAA paid the overwhelming majority of the travel costs for each opponent to come to Anchorage. Those cost savings were worth on average to about $18-20K each year for each WCHA school. After 10 years those costs were gradually phased out and I don't believe UAA subsidizes anyones travel any longer.

So with a minimal amount of calculation one can see that UAA's inclusion in the WCHA has been responsible (at a minimum) for well over $1,000,000 in positive revenue to the WCHA community. Replace UAA with Bemidji? Ain't gonna happen ... dream on ... forgetaboutit ...

WCHA schools ought to be kissing UAA's arse.

And oh yeah Sioux fans ... good luck with the whole "sweep" prediction thing. There'll be a pretty determined hockey team facing yours on the ice in about an hour.

I haven't read the whole thread, so I might not have the right concept on what you're talking about, but that sounds like they have just paid a good chunk of travel fees?

That huge cost of travel fees wouldn't be there if BSU took the place of UAA.
