Sounds like NDSU is hitting Canada up as well, as some of the players we have interest in up there also have NDSU interest. Part of that I think is that the Canadian players are being marketed better. Also, I believe that UND has offers out to James Johannason and Ty Brooks from Fargo South.

I know of about four from Canada. Most of the big Minnesota recruits were in Fargo.

Re: JUCOs - I believe that Boas and Slaight will be able to step in and be effective starters for us. I was pretty impressed with their tapes and both have a lot of potential. Hopefully at least one of the JUCO corners can step up and be a stud as well. Since I didn't get a chance to watch the game, I was wondering how you though some of the freshmen defensive players looked. I was surprised to see Maverick Edmunds lead the team in tackles. Possible diamond in the rough? Also curious how Butler made the transition th OLB. Actually have way too many questions to list here

Yeah, I believe he had surgery shortly after the season last year and is expected to be ready for fall camp.

I'm curious as to how the younger kids on defense have looked. Norberg, Reyes, rich, Labat, etc. also, the observation about Young is about what I expected. I understand he has always been a hard worker and pretty talented but was buried behind the depth. I expect Young and Carr to be our top WRs this fall (taking nothing away from McGill).....

UND has received a commitment from Josiah Coleman, JUCO from Iowa Western. Out of HS he had offers from Wyoming, Coppin St and Sacj State. Not sure on current offers. Appears Javen Butler is moving to OLB, as is Brian Labat. On the flip side Taj Rich has moved to ILB.

I believe Simmons and Flowers have 3 and the rest have 2.

The guys I'm most anxious to see this spring are Will Ratelle, Aeron Carr, Kyle Norberg, Shae Walker, Javen Butler, Cole Reyes and Patrick Sharp. Also curious to see some of the RFr. linemen and some of the younger linebackers like Brian Labat and Taj Rich. Even though it's going to be a pretty big rebuilding year, I think we're going to see some promising performers this spring to give us some hope for the future.

Actually would doubt that Illinois St or Missouri St would move due to basketball conferences. Possible I guess. NDSU actually wouldn't be bad although quite a way out of the footprint......

The Spring prospectus is out - seems that other than the expected guys gone that Kodee Varner is also no longer with the team. Only 4 CB's listed, including one who was a walkon punter last year. Need some help back there!
