Do you also consider it murder when fast animals with sharp teeth and claws attack, kill and eat slower, defenseless animals? I call that "nature," not "murder." Humans can't fly. They're not that fast. They can't swim underwater for long periods of time. So they have to obtain food using the best weapon nature gave them -- their brains. You obviously have no problem with people raising defenseless animals and using technology to kill them for you to eat. But for some reason, you feel morally superior because you pay mercenaries to do the dirty work for you. How convenient.

As I recall, Colby didn't mind it being pronounced either way because while his family used the hard G, other relatives prounounced the name "JEN o way." But I thought last season's agreed-upon pronounciation was "GEN o way." Now I'm back to being confused.

Thanks for the kind words, folks. All four of these players are tremendous representatives of Sioux hockey and will be leaders on and off the ice. Fortunately, this team is blessed with an abundance of such players. It's going to be an exciting season.

No, that's not what he was saying. He saying that the courts and police obviously can't protect everyone from those who threaten violence because there's no way to know which threats are serious and which are not. He's saying that if someone who's being threatened wants to legally purchase a gun and learn how to use it for self-defense, he doesn't have a problem with that approach. He's a columnist for the newspaper. I think a more reasonable policy for UND would be to require those who have guns to either have locks on them or a secure place to store them.

I'm not worried about Oshie. His play will speak for itself. If he stays healthy, by the end of the season he'll be widely recognized as one of the best forwards in college hockey.

I will agree with the fact that if someone has their mind made up that they are going to run down people on campus, they are going to find a way to do it. So why make it easier for them if there is a car readily available in every parking lot on campus? If there are strict laws and car restrictions put into place, the killer might be stopped somewhere in the process of acquiring a vehicle. Another thing to think about. Someone is washing their car because they are going on a trip the next day. Somehow the car rolls backward and accidentally kills a child playing in the street. Is the "right to own a car" worth the risk of someone being killed? Hopefully everyone will answer no.
