Thanks jdub. Doing a little math. If we got 10,000 fans at $15 a ticket that would be $150,000 x 75% equals $112,500. I am wondering what people think UND should have bid for the first round game. I imagine there could have been some reaching out for a corporate sponsorship?? Could UND afford a $200,000 bid??

Concerning the "bidding for a home play off game". Can anybody enlighten me on what is involved? Are we bidding to guarantee the NCAA a certain dollar amount? Is it a base amount and then a percentage? Any idea on what that amount would be? What all are we bidding? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Everyone is trying make the selection process scientific. Problem is that it isn't. Everyone wants to make points that their team is the exception to the process if it helps their team. If the exceptions don't help "your" team then the exceptions don't make sense. How can anybody really know who should be ranked where? The committee needs to makes decisions on situations that are impossible to evaluate scientifically. I always thought that team momentum counted - winning nine in a row should count a lot - cause it helps my team.

Big play after big play. On both sides. It was a slugfest. Tying TD called back. Interference -some called and some not - NAU last pass into the end zone - nobody was sure for about 5 seconds. Wow! My first game in person in three years. Looked like a bad choose of games for a while.

Our receivers didn't seem to be any more open in the 4th quarter than the first three. Studs just decided to trust and throw at them and we went up and got the ball. There were many completions that the defense was right on us.

I lost track. Which injured players might be back in 2 or 3 weeks? Studs is banged up. Taj Rich, A.J. Stockwell, Luke Stanley - anybody else??

OK I want to change my first message to: Pretty exciting that our only path leads through Fargo. That said, there are many teams dealing with key injuries. Who knows what may happen!

Any concerns about the uncertainty of conference affiliation with our recruiting? My biggest concern is the possibility of having to sit out a year of football. Would that be just for conference championships but allow us to be in the football playoffs. Lots of ifs and buts before we get to that point.

Any comments about how the tailgating went for UND fans? Saw a brief glimpse on TV - looked liked more than a few were dressed in UND colors.

How good is UND? Much improved. A top ten team - that would be a stretch but that is only because I don't know the other teams talent level. Our starting QB has been good but hit and miss. Our depth at QB is very suspect. Our special teams are suspect. Our defense is awesome but we are capable of giving up 40-50 points in a game. We are good and Bubba has done a great job. I don't know but it seams like we are almost there but not quite yet. Love our team and love what has happened this year. Win the national championship - doubtful. Give somebody a scare - certainly.

UND wins by 10. Let's say 20-10. Our defense dominates and holds NC to less than 250 total yards. We get two interceptions with one pick 6. Bartels plays well. Our offense features Brady and Santiago in at the same time for multiple plays. Short screens and slants to Santiago. Santiago runs two jet sweeps. A total of 13 punts in the game.

You are absolutely correct. We could (have) listed multiple way we should have won. The deal with Studs is that he was playing so well at the end of last year. I guess I just expected that to continue. The bar has been raised for him because he set it higher last year. The open pass misses I am talking about are the ones that the QB is not being rushed and the receiver is wide open. Miss one or two a game, not the many we did. Yes, receivers need to catch but try not to put the receiver in a vulnerable position. We found about five ways to lose that game. This one hurt and will haunt us no matter how well we play going forward. We need to find ways to win.

Numerous wide open receivers and numerous wild passes by UND. Big step backward with not having our QB make normal - easy looking passes - especially the first half. Heck, MSUM has QBs who can connect with open receivers. Terribly disappointed with that aspect of this game. The only way we lose the game the game in the 4th quarter is by a turnover. The D was in complete control. We were outcoached by the blocked punt. We NEED to get the punt off and we probably win.
