I talked to Dean on Saturday at the boys hockey camp...asked him how long this has been in the works and he said only two weeks. He's a good friend of the family and I know he was being honest with me. His exact words were..."it's been a whirlwind!" Can hardly wait to see the new Sioux NHL team!

Absolutely awesome post...I know alot of people that keep saying get over it and I really don't care what they have to say. There is a reason why we cheer so loud and are devoted fans who travel great lengths just to see them play the game of hockey. I commend and applaud you for spilling your guts! As Sioux fans and the hopes that Gophers lose to our 2nd favorite team, I will do my hardest to refrain from saying one word to the Gophers after this game...as my mom always told me...don't stoop to their level....but damn it's going to be hard not to! The pain of the loss for ND will be less when the Dogs win!

Thanks for the information. I got rooms at the Sonesta for $129.00 a night from April 7th to the 11th. Also looking at the package deal that Al Pearson is putting together and haven't heard where they will be staying. Anyone else staying at the Sonesta or close by? Would really like to be in a place where we can all get together. Problem with the Sonesta will be the transportation and with Al's package it includes transportation to and from, but sounds like they may be staying on the outskirts somewhere. Anyone else have their airlines booked from Fargo and if so, when are you all leaving?
