  1. I just called Direct TV and added the sports pack for $2.00 a month. I explained that I had it last year and normally it costs $12.00. They will credit your bill each month for $10.00. This includes all the FOX sports and CSTV. Saaaaaaaaweeeeet!
  2. JT Cigarros is another great place to watch. We will be at Playmakers however cuz there is a great band (Boogiewonderland) playing that night and get to see the Sioux game too! There always seems to be a number of Sioux fans at Playmakers.
  3. Feel like I'm watching the WCHA -- Islanders vs. Hurricanes. Kinda fun to see Blaker, Commodore, Cullen, Parrish. Blake scored his 2nd goal of the season. Score is 3-1 Islanders. Commodore seems to be getting alot of playing time and looks even bigger this year!
  4. [Meanwhile...back onto the argument of student seating and corporate gurus at REA...I think there are some things to be learned from the atmosphere in Columbus. If Sioux fans from all over the US can get together and have fun in Columbus, how come Sioux fans in Grand Forks can't do the same at REA? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  5. You know this is absolutely idiotic that this same issue with Upchuck keeps coming to the forefront. What I want to know, where was he on Thursday night of the Frozen Four -- oh probably slurping his prune juice at the nursing home somewhere. This guy makes me want to puke! I say we inendate him with the great article in the Dakota Student on the fan support at the Frozen Four. Upchuck needs to go play with the gophers and leave the students alone at UND! JFC!
  6. Awesome! My dad and I made the photo! The atmosphere is so great here with a TON of Sioux fans! It seems all the UND fans moved down to one section which was great cuz we were all spread out except for the 400 tickets that UND got. The band did a magnificent job of getting our fans going and cheering. There is no better feeling than last night when the team left the ice and gave us their individual salutes. Very unusual to see on a first night...wasn't expecting it until Saturday. Talked to Schneider at dinner last night...I asked him if the ice got soft in the third period because the puck seemed to move so slowly. He said it was so bad their blades were sinking in the ice! What a pure gentleman he is...so appreciative of all the fans. Belfour was having a blast in the bar after the game with all the fans, Blais and former players! The alumni party I thought was a huge success, nice crowd, only negative would be the price of the food they served, but that was easily forgotten after the first goal! I will try to post more thoughts later, but their are alot of fans waiting to get online to read all the stories! What a night, what a team.
  7. Ahhhh, so some of you that signed up early on are really going but didn't add to my list! I'll take that personally and expect a beer from everyone that shows up that isn't on the list! 8. From past experience, those parties are overrated and over priced. Having said that, my parents will be traveling with my sister and I so they can pay and hob knob with the alumni and I can drink free! Maybe not!
  9. Just checked in online for my flight at 5:20 AM tomorrow out of Fargo -- anyone else gettin antsy to get out of town and cheer for the Sioux!
  10. My initial thoughts were to try and get a social together on Friday around 4pm if possible so people who have other plans for dinner could still make those. It seems that most of the action should be downtown since the team is staying down there. I will try to make contact with one of the hotels downtown to see if a place would be available if people are interested. Let me know what you think!
  11. FYI -- Rooms have opened up at the Holiday Inn, Downtown -- the more Sioux fans, the better! Rates are at $95.00/night. Go online to book at www.holiday-inn.com and search for the Columbus City Center.
  12. Here's the list so far -- can't seem to get the Word document to cooperate so hopefully you all will figure it out! Keep sending in the replies -- looks like a great group going! 13. "We brought the WCHA teams, but left ADAM home!"
  14. It's the one at City Center, but I believe they are sold out. Try www.holiday-inn.com and then type in Columbus. We currently are holding one extra room to see if another is joining us. We got a rate of $95.00/night
  15. Looks like Holiday Inn may be the party place! I'm still compiling the list, keep sending those replies!
  16. damnit! Sorry! Maybe someone will fix that for me!

  18. Back to the "party" subject, how many have booked their flights and who from this website will be there. It would be great to figure how where everyone is staying and how we can all meet up together somewhere! So start posting about your plans for the greatest Frozen Four ever!!!! YaneA -- I'm assuming the "signs" message will pop up soon!
  19. Just booked our flights, hotel and car! We are set...2 coming from Arkansas, one from MSP and one from Fargo. We are staying at the Holiday Inn downtown...looks like a close place to the arena. The research begins for the hotspots! My sister got her flight out of MSP for $373.00 on ATA....not bad. Mine on the otherhand -- had to burn 50,000 miles, but couldn't think of a better way to use those miles!!!!!!!! Sioux, yeah yeah!
  20. JT Cigarro's is a great place to watch...lots of fans there!
  21. Have you checked with Playmakers to see if the game is on there? Last week they didn't have it! Think you might want to try TGIFridays...they always have it there when I've called. Drop the puck and drop Adam too!
  22. Does anyone know if it's on direct tv and if so, what channel or even possibly a local channel in Fargo?
  23. Anybody else not getting the game in Fargo on WDAZ? Says it's on but it's a Disney show! WTF?
  24. My vote would be the Holiday Inn, especially if you need to hop back onto interstate and head to Fargo after the game...it's free and you get a free drink after the game and I'm sure alot of us could use free drinks after the last several games!
  25. Tim Skarperud who is serving as a volunteer assistant coach this year.
