Do you really think most BSC coaches know "nothing" about UND at this point? Maybe that was true when UND applied for membership, but fall camp is weeks away now. Coaches are control freaks. I would bet the head coach of most of the teams in the conference had an assistant put together a dossier on UND in the off season. They aren't gonna wait until game week to learn something about the program.

I hope you are right. I will be waiting to see what hockey people they bring on board to have a voice in the planning and development of this project. The names of the people I've seen thus far are all MN basketball people.

The only thing I like about this is the location. This will be a hockey tournament played in a building specifically redesigned for T-Wolves basketball. There aren't any hockey renderings anywhere on the site, which tells me playing hockey is nowhere on their radar. I understand Faison pushing for playing the game every year, but I would consider it foolish to refuse to play at all if those parameters aren't met. I hope that isn't what has been holding this up on the UND side. Sacrificing the good option in pursuit of a great option is foolish IMHO.

Color oriented promos are great if your attendance is near capacity already. If not, it makes the empty seats all the more obvious. You need the "out" in "whiteout" for that to work. A "whiteout" that looks like salt n pepper doesn't work.

It appears there isn't very much depth to your allegiances. This is why UND can't make decisions with "fans" as fickle as yourself in mind.

I do find it entertaining to read posts like this from people that "can live with out it" while, if you'll please forgive the reiteration of a previous post, those actually tasked with shouldering the burden, would most definitely not "live with out it". To the contrary, those people are mobilizing so they won't be made to "live with out it". It's very big of you though, to bear that cross and offer to "live with out it". Very big indeed.

First, unless I come to find out Wanless has some personal connection to Emmert, I don't think he's in a position to really determine whether he's a reasonable man in general, let alone if he has acted reasonably toward UND in this specific issue. Wanless' comments about him seem to be just fluff to me. Second, in relation to the rest of Wanless' comments, I don't think he can speak with any certainty at all about the BSC Presidents' views on the nickname, sanctions, UND scheduling, or possible expulsion. Fullerton himself has far more interaction with all BSC Presidents than Wanless, and lest we forget the NDSU and SDSU situation, we know Fullerton doesn't necessarily have a solid grasp of league opinion. Fullerton advocated strongly for admission of NDSU into the BSC and in fact spoke quite optimistically of an invite. In the end, there wasn't support from the Presidents. So, either Fullerton was blowing smoke or he just didn't know their position. I'm not sure how to apply that lesson to what's happening now, but I do know that if a man in Fullerton's position clearly doesn't always know what the Presidents are thinking, Wanless-as an athletic director at an individual school-surely doesn't.

One big difference in a football matchup from past years is that UND would get far fewer tickets allotted than they did in the d2 days. UND used to have an entire endzone plus a section in the corner. UND fans would have much greater difficulty getting tickets now.
