Minnesota beast St. Cloud 4-3 OT on a blown call
These refs blew that in OT
what happened? Mentioned it on UND telecast too but didn't explain what happened

I believe you are incorrect.. we punted from the 35 or 36.. we were never going to kick a fieldgoal from there it was 4th and 4.. we should have gone for it
Our next offensive series we drove down to the Salukis 20 yard line and went for it on 4th and 5.. this would have been a 37 or 38 yard field goal that we should have tried to kick in my opinion.
That could be. I don't remember for sure but thought you were talking about the punt. My bad.

We had great kickers for about 25 years, going back to Pat Beatty. We play indoors, which should be attractive. Have we just neglected the position in recruiting?
I resent that as I'm sure @VMeister does as we kicked for UND before Pat Beatty.
I have to admit there was a very good string of kickers starting with Pat.

ok.. that one wasnt a great call either. I was referring to the kicking game
In the 2nd half
- 31 yd fg blocked
- 38 yd fg went for it instead of kicking
- 36 yd fg missed
- 47 yd fg missed badly.
I know this is our backup fg kicker, but we are alos supposed to be a division 1 program. I would expect you would have at least two kickers and maybe more on the team that could regularly make <40yd fg.
we did not pass up a 38 yard fg attempt. we were on the 35 or 36 so it would have been a 52 or 53 yard attempt. Certainly not automatic

I think he hurt his shoulder early on too. He looked like he was favoring his left arm.
I thought he hurt left shoulder too. He then came back in for a play or 2 but not sure he's played since

too nervous to keep commenting on the game. Let's keep it going.

And that’s another o line penalty
I wonder if some receiver was covered up so was ineligible but ran downfield. Play was pretty quick for lineman to get downfield - but who knows .

poor tackling is killing us again. should have had QB in backfield but TD pass instead

So if you have espn+ you don't get the game?
ESPN3 is tied to your TV package. If you have ESPN thru your cable or other provider you have access to ESPN3. ESPN+ by itself doesn't get you it. Very strange

South Dakota very chippy. Definitely hit through the whistle and a little extra.
Chippy and chirpy

OL with big drop off since last spring. Lots of new faces.
Can Feeney be a difference maker at QB vs. game manager at some point? It's been a long time since we've had one of those.

Offense not very good for a few games now.

Little worried about Jake Brandt on the telecast. If he doesn't stop talking and come up for air every once in a while he might pass out.

Something that I thought on that 4th down, what a chance to sneak the TE out quick on play action (4th down play against USD in 2011 that went for a TD), bootleg, or even that jump pass we see every once in a great while. Everyone knew what was coming, try something different and fresh.
Many, many years ago Rob Bollinger did that on 4th down from about the 1/2 yard line for a TD against NDSU. Gutsy call.

As mentioned earlier, this was the first 3rd/4th and short that QV has not converted on the last two seasons.
After the Drake game, with the fumbles and him getting dinged up, It is fair game to question, but not because it wasn't a high percentage play. It has converted every time when called upon in those exact situations. In one of the earlier games this year we lined up a TE or someone with size in the backfield and when QV was on top of the pile he came and pushed him from behind to get an extra yard or so. I assumed that was part of the formation/play and thought it was creative. We didn't do that in this situation and am wondering if the earlier TE push was ad lib but if we'd done it here we probably get the first down.

Not sure how it will finish but guessing Lakes is either have heart issues or soiling himself right now.

Looking at the positives - that was a great drive at the end of the half starting from the 3. Got some first downs and didn't give SU the ball at midfield or worse

Quick question on digital tickets. I bought quite a few extra tickets for friends.
Question. for me to transfer tickets to them, do they need the app? or does the digital ticket work without the app?
for the Drake game I opened the tickets and took screen shot of the barcodes. Texted the pics to someone and they used them to get into the game.

Team came a bit earlier then planned, but they should be out this weekend.
That's great to hear. The band adds a lot to the team walk through and we really look forward them being there.

What time is the player walk to the stadium usually?
Anybody know why the band wasn't in the parking lot when the players to walked through before the Drake game?
Mixup, new plan?
