If they sit on the bench at a B1G school, it doesn't help them get noticed by NFL scouts.
That is true. The question is will they start/play at the B1G school. If they can't cut it in the B1G they probably can't make it in the NFL anyway. All things being equal, they get a better look from playing in the B1G.

Past is not entirely relevant, otherwise change would never happen. New focus and infrastructure fuels the new potential. It’ll happen. There will always be pessimists.
The past is relevant. NDSU would be the standard bearer for NFL players and they have 11.
I am surely not a pessimist but just because you say something over and over doesn't make it true. You also reprimanded me early in the fall because I dared to say that we were probably a couple of recruiting classes away from winning the MVFC. New regime and all that. News flash - we were very competitive but it didn't happen last fall

Why? You keep repeating that players have a better chance at going pro by staying at UND but that's just not true. This school has zero recent history of putting multiple players in the NFL or CFL.
Go to Iowa, make some money, get a degree, and if you have the chance to keep playing then great. If not, you've got more money and a degree from a more well-known school.
ESPN lists Iowa with 29 players on NFL rosters this year. UND has 1 - Waletzko

see if you can blog about the Betty and how they wrecked it with the new stands a few years ago
I don't live in GF and haven't been to the Betty for many years. I was familiar with the old setup but not what's changed. I believe they moved the stands on the end back but not sure. It wasn't great originally so can only imagine what it is like now. Can someone explain what they did?

Just eliminate redshirts, move to 5 years, and be done with it.
per what I'm reading that was the expected proposal. Not sure why it didn't get voted on and the 9 game redshirt rule did.
-
Reading FBS coaches just voted unanimously to extend number of games played from 4 to 9 and keep redshirt. Not sure if applies to FCS if it passes.

I think it needs to be cleared up that at least one of the players "he took" transferred because UND did not have the major he wanted. There is life after football
Not 100% sure that's true. I got to know his family a bit during his time at UND and didn't hear any rumblings of that. They were fully on board with him and UND football. It sounded like he was also considering coming back for last season which doesn't make sense if it was for a different major. I do think it had more to do with the old OL coach leaving vs. Danny but he did follow Danny.

In my opinion a number of things about Danny leaving and his return are true at the same time.
- The fact that he left wasn't a huge deal to me but where he went and the position he left for says a lot. Danny 'bleeds green' but left for a lower position at a rival school and took a player or two with him. Looked to me like he was pouting cuz Bubba wasn't retiring fast enough.
- His offense at Wash St didn't have a great year and he wasn't offered to move with HC to Iowa St.
- He will be an improvement over our last OC.

A little bar dust up just before 2:00 am, just an average weekend in the 90's. Sounds like a JYD. It's not drug related or involve the opposite sex. I have no problem with it.
Sounds like the Antique or the Spud in the 80's. We almost had an all out brawl between guys from the football and hockey teams one night at the Antique. Fortunately if blew over.

He was pass game coordinator so yes he did call plays at SDSU. Get your facts straight.
not looking to be snarky but I'd assume that OC has final say on play calling.
The passing game coordinator generally develops the passing game routes, passing game plan, etc. and provides input but doesn't call plays.
Reading online, that seems like the normal setup. Maybe they had a different arrangement

wasn't able to watch earlier. Announcers said ISU defensive changes turned the game. Do you know what they are doing differently?

I don’t know for sure but I believe she’s referring to watching the gopher games on the couch and now in the stands.
He posted pics with his kids during the season so guessing you are right and they lived in GF.

Koi Perich from Gophers entering portal. Read earlier they were expecting he’d cost $1M+ and sounded like they’d pay it. Wonder what he’ll be getting somewhere else.
